Starship Invasions sounds like a lot of fun from the clips although I imagine that the film itself is one that Christopher Lee would rather forget smile

The score alone is fabulous but the film deserves to be sent to Jupiter!

I just watched Blood Beach again on youtube, Haven't seen this since I first saw it at the cinema in 1980. This has a great Gil Melle score. Nice and suspenseful without going to much into Jaws territory. Id love a release of this one.

I was recently helping a vinyl producer who specializes in horror score releases on the possibility of getting the rights for BLOOD BEACH, but unfortunately, there is a tangled mess of who owns the rights, and not even director Jeffrey Bloom knows about it. So we will continue trying and that is all I can say for now.

If the BLOOD BEACH legal tangle can be untangled, it'll make a great release! It's actually from just around the time that I thought Gil Mellé was getting "less interesting", but I thought that about BORDERLINE too until I heard it on CD. That's one of my favourite CDs ever. It turned out wonderfully well. Kudos to all involved (James, Intrada...)

While I'm here, I may as well post two of my favourites - from a VERY long list. What's the score (ha!) with THE ULTIMATE WARRIOR? Warner Bros.... Any deal? Whatever, it's magnificent! Just listen to that sorrowful cello at the start (I mean the start of the end). The sombre music backing the still photographs of the devastated city. The optimism creeping in with the piano, the bass... the splendid End Titles, with the trombone and the inimitably Mellésque strings. Here it is on YT -

THE ULTIMATE WARRIOR - The End (with 40-year-old spoilers)

And FUTURE SHOCK! Alvin Toffler! Orson Welles! Have a look at the full doc - it's worth it, especially in retrospect. Love the score to that. So varied (electronics, jazz, funk, orchestral...) -

FUTURE SHOCK - The full thing -

That's also got one of my favourite finales. If you can't be bothered watching the full thing, go to about 40:30. From there on, especially matched to the visuals (the old man's face, the child), right through the End Titles is pure bliss.

That's great news and I hope it can come to fruition. Do elements for the score still exist, or did you guys not get that far along yet?
