Its pretty darn cool when such serious and talented actors like Robert Redford see fit to participate in fun projects like this. Definitely has increased my interest.

I was really surprised by his casting. During an interview at this year's Sundance Festival, he said he thought all these superhero movies were just really fun, enjoyable films that he would have loved to seen as a kid, so he was really looking forward to the start of filming.

The first Cap film had a great old school charm to it, which I fear this sequel will lack being that it's more modern. I hope it's good, though. I thought the first was easily the best of all these recent Marvel Cinematic Universe movies. I really loved it.

Supposedly, Winter Soldier has a tone similar to a 70's conspiracy thriller, a la All The President's Men or Three Days Of The Condor, hence the casting of a 70's icon like Redford is perfect. Plus, it's just nice to see him acting again with this and All Is Lost (one of last year's best movies and performances).
