I actually like this version better than the original. I mean, Bassey's is great in its sultry and swaggering, polished James Bond ballad kind of way, but David Arnold sure packs a wallop of poignancy into the song with just his vocals and a piano. He also sang Barry and Don Black's "Tick All the Days Off One By One" beautifully while playing the guitar at Barry's memorial service: The song was one of a series Barry and Black wrote for The Ten Tenors in 2006: http://www.amazon.com/Heres-The-Heroes-Ten-Tenors/dp/B001QYPVBM/ but I think it's much better sung by Arnold minus all the overproduction of the Ten Tenors album.    Posted:   Dec 30, 2013 - 1:26 AM     By:   Martin B.   (Member) He has performed several times at various Bond events, and I remember him singing Only Myself to Blame from World is not Enough on the Mayo/Kermode film review show once when they had him on to promote a Bond concert.
