Back from a screening of the 1945 version I find quite odd Peggy Knudsen is actually credited in the main title since she appears in the role of Mona Mars only in the 1946 version.
In the version I've just seen the role of Mona Mars is played by Pat Clark and I know that version got released for overseas G.I.'s : so I assume it must have had a proper main title at that time.
Weren't they able to locate the genuine main title when they restored the 1945 version in the 90's or is there any contractual reason that forbid to use that main title ?
