When I was a movie-mad kid, my parents bought me a portfolio of drawings by Nicholas Volpe of all the best actor/actress Academy Award winners up to1961. Did anyone else get one of these sets as a kid? They were famous for hanging in the Brown Derby.

I absolutely loved these drawings -- they seemed to capture the actors and their roles quite magnificently.

I still have my complete set -- but the value is probably ruined because I once wallpapered my bedroom with all of the portraits using pins to affix them to my wall. I used to love falling asleep surrounded by the "stars."

Volpe's portraits are fantastic, and I don't blame you a bit for pinning them all over the place!
