2013 Top 10 HIGHEST-GROSSING MOVIES---the Top 10 highest-grossing movie for 2013 are:

1. IRONMAN 3--$1.2 billion
2. DESPICABLE ME 2--$918.4 million
3. FAST & FURIOUS 6---$788.7 million
4. MONSTER UNIVERSITY---$743.6 million
5. THE HUNGER GAMES: CATCHING FIRE---$738.3 million
6. MAN OF STEEL---$662.8 million
7. GRAVITY---$642.5 million
8. THOR: THE DARK WORLD---$621.6 million
9. THE CROODS---$587.2 million
10.WORLD WAR Z---$540 million





JONNY QUEST---director Peter Segal (GET SMART) commented on the status of the live-action based on the animated tv series, "I would love to make that my next movie...We just hired a writer to do another pass. We already have a very good script. Then we go through budgeting hell and trying to get it into shape." The original series ran on ABC from 1964-1965.





WELCOME TO HARMONY---horror movie underway starring Jeffrey Donovan (BURN NOTICE) and Matthew Fox (LOST) set in Bangor, Maine in which a man, his young daughter and their neighbor must survive after a global chemical war has turned the rest of mankind into monsters.





THE GAMBLER---Jessica Lange joins Mark Wahlberg in the remake of the 1974 movie that starred James Caan as a college professor with a gambling addiction who gets involved with the Las Vegas mob.

WONDER WOMAN---producer Wesley Collier commented on a WONDER WOMAN stand-alone movie with Gal Gadot already confirmed as Wonder Woman in BATMAN VS. SUPERMAN, "We're super excited to have her in the film, it will be a ton of fun, but at the same time, we've got to stay focused on the film we're working on now."

AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON---the secondary villain in the movie is reportedly Baron Wolfgang von Strucker with Martin Csokas and Doug Rayscott being the candidates for the role.

24: LIVE ANOTHER DAY---Giles Matthey (TRUE BLOOD) joins the Fox 24 miniseries cast as a CIA computer whiz, and Gbenga Akinnagbe (THE WIRE) will play an ambitious CIA agent.

THE SCRIBBLER---movie based on the graphic novel starring Kate Cassidy (ARROW), Eliza Dushku (DOLLHOUSE), Gina Gershon (SHOWGIRLS), Garrett Dillahunt (WINTER'S BONE), Michael Imperoli (THE SOPRANOS) and Billy Campbell (THE KILLING). Premiere is in 2014.

2 BEDROOM, 1 BATH---horror movie about a young couple expecting their first child who encounter an evil entity that seeks their baby. Eric Roberts, Dee Wallace and Shelby Young star.

NIGHTFALL---horror movie directed by Sergio Stivaletti (DEMONS) in which two friends must save mankind from a vampire conspiracy.

DC: Audiences aren't ready for a female superhero.
Marvel: Part of our slate of films is a superhero flick featuring a talking raccoon and a tree.

That's AWESOME! Love those two actors and I'll bet they will be brilliant together. What an inspired pairing! My interest (and indeed awareness) of this film just multiplied substantially.
