The ABC Movie theme that I know best is the one from the early '80s(?) and which I associate with James Bond films being aired around 9pm or so, which was difficult on a school night. I remember my father disciplining me for my juvenile delinquent ways as I squirmed to catch the gunbarrel of The Man with the Golden Gun. I missed the Ernie Anderson voiceover intro but caught the gunbarrel. Never did get that criminal record (or even first offense) though.

Even the closed caption cue is nostalgic!

The first time I saw DIAMONDS ARE FOREVER was on ABC around 1972------obviously that was a long time ago, but I could've sworn that some of the scene sequences on the ABC telecast were totally different than in the movies I've seen on dvd and Blu-ray.
For example, the scene showing the two assassins putting Sean Connery in the underground pipe was at the beginning of the movie, not in the middle as on dvd/Blu-ray.
Can anyone confirm this?

The first Bond film to premiere on A.B.C. was "Goldfinger" in the fall of 1972. "Diamonds Are Forever" didn't premiere on A.B.C. until 1975.
