The ABC Movie theme that I know best is the one from the early '80s(?) and which I associate with James Bond films being aired around 9pm or so, which was difficult on a school night. I remember my father disciplining me for my juvenile delinquent ways as I squirmed to catch the gunbarrel of The Man with the Golden Gun. I missed the Ernie Anderson voiceover intro but caught the gunbarrel. Never did get that criminal record (or even first offense) though.
The first time I saw DIAMONDS ARE FOREVER was on ABC around 1972------obviously that was a long time ago, but I could've sworn that some of the scene sequences on the ABC telecast were totally different than in the movies I've seen on dvd and Blu-ray. For example, the scene showing the two assassins putting Sean Connery in the underground pipe was at the beginning of the movie, not in the middle as on dvd/Blu-ray. Can anyone confirm this?
The first Bond film to premiere on A.B.C. was "Goldfinger" in the fall of 1972. "Diamonds Are Forever" didn't premiere on A.B.C. until 1975.
