Here's some updated information on the forthcoming, feature length documentary motion picture concerning a life involved in film music, science fiction, and fantasy films. We have one more day of shooting during the month of December to finish. Editing, scoring, and narration will follow during the early months of 2014. The film in its entirely, running some eighty five minutes, should be completed by early April. After that, the intention of the film makers is to begin releasing the documentary at film festivals next Fall. We've already had a query of interest from the director of The Philadelphia Jewish Film Festival. Then, presumably, the film will eventually turn up on cable or, perhaps, PBS...with an eye on home video. A promo reel will be ready by year's end to interest potential dvd and blu-ray distributors. We've been "shooting" all Summer and into the Fall. With the joyous participation of those artists mentioned above, it is our hope that the film will have a wide range of interest to anyone involved in the love of films and film music.

It's been an exciting and rewarding journey for everyone involved in this project. In the planning stages for the past year, it appears that the shooting schedule has nearly been completed. Once the documentary has been edited and scored, it will include a lengthy interview with Hammer Films actress Veronica Carlson; a conversation and tour with Juliet Rozsa discussing her illustrious father, Miklos Rozsa; a wonderful round table discussion on the art and craft of scoring for the movies with composers Lee Holdridge and Mark McKenzie, record producer Patrick Russ, and classical guitarist and arranger Gregg Nestor; as well as a reunion with the director and star of "The Beast Within" featuring acclaimed Australian film director, Philippe Mora and Emmy nominated actor, Paul Clemens. All of these participants gave joyfully of their time and talent in order to explore the creative framework of motion picture music, and the beloved genre of science fiction, horror, and fantasy films. We hope that you'll find our efforts worthwhile.
