From Jeff Beck's purely instrumental and brilliant album THERE & BACK is this track composed by Jan Hammer who plays on most tracks of the album. People of a certain age and from the UK will remember that this was used as the theme tune to early Channel 4 music show THE TUBE.

Your links didn't post but I assume you mean "Star Cycle."

That's the one!

My Favourite Jan Hammer track is Three's A Crowd (TALES FROM THE CRYPT).

Funny, I just listened to that.

This is the amazing first track from The First Seven Days — "Darkness/Earth in Search of a Sun."

The End track from Buddies before the song No Guarantees sets in is the best but do love The talk from Evan and the track Gina too...
Then i love Hammers music to the movies Dark Angel & The Taking of Beverly Hills too smile

Dark Angel was good, but I didn't find too much to enjoy in TTOBH. The piece of music that I remember most from that one is Ghost Box by Black Box.

Yes, that's a good one. I remember seeing that episode years ago, and I suddenly thought I was watching Miami Vice, with yachts and all, LOL!

Oh yes, marvellous track. I can't believe how Hammer had the time to do this score in the midst of his Miami Vice schedule. No wonder it sounds like MV...

Yes, but looking at his musical output the last 15 years, it's a pity he didn't save a bit of energy for the new millennium-

Still better than Edgar Froese's ceaseless regurgitations of Tangerine Dream's back catalogue.

Yes, but I'm surprised that Hammer has seemingly lost all will to release/compose new music.

The motif at the start of the track sounds really familiar, like I've heard an orchestral version of it somewhere.
