It's indeed a wonderful release! I only wish "Daytona Race" didn't segue into "The Crash". Maybe it's because I'm so used to the unmentionable, but it's sounds a bit weird to me.
"Physical Kiss" is extremely similar to a track from Green Card
Did anyone else notice Zimmer's comment at the end of the disc? I wonder if that was recorded in 1990, or 2013? :-D
"Physical Kiss" (first half) is perhaps my favorite piece from the whole score. I love that kind of "style". Too bad it was such a short piece.
Bird On A Wire, among other Zimmer from the same period, have this kind of style to it in some pieces as well.
That voice "announcement" of the cue (probably Christopher Kennedy (?), the music editor/mixer, saying which cue it is, followed by Zimmer (?) saying he's fired, lol), is from back when they did the score.
Love this release. Surprised though that some cues sound hissy... Thought if they recorded this digitally it would be pretty clean. Black Rain sounds way better. Just glad this finally saw the light of day.

It's indeed Zimmer's voice at the end. Perhaps Hans really meant it. According to imdb, he and Kennedy never worked together again.
I'm not so sure about the liner notes though. I'm not really interested in reading page after page about the FILM - it's the MUSIC the customer has bought.
And I think a picture of the composer shouldn't be too hard to fit into the booklet.
Listening now - great stuff! Takes me back... this is really when Zimmer was starting his modern sound imo... culminating in Crimson Tide five years later. Good work-out music - gets me pumped!
2nd half-half of 'Car Building' really does it for me - I love when it beaks out like that... lol, my body needs to be rebuilt like that car. Heading to the gym soon....
Listened to this again for the umpteenth time. What an amazing score. Darlington might be the coolest score track ever (sorry Lalo). If this reality was in my favor, Zimmer would be performing in Rotterdam this may
If you haven't got it, this score is worthy of your attention.
