This is without doubt one of the best releases of the year, the entire score is gorgeous.

Another masterpiece by Maestro Morricone.

Got my copy, too.

Stunning, achingly sad and beautiful score. One of Morricone´s best.

Pick it up, everybody. It is so worth it.

Again, I am surprised by the lack of talk regarding this score?

English language film, 90s, major composer.

Morricone's 90s+ scores rarely get the attention they deserve.

Or the most recent, like The Best Offer.

Many thanks Music Box for this superb release of a beautiful score by the Maestro. Morricone really liked this movie and I believe was inspired to write one of his most striking scores for a non Italian movie. Especially pleased to get the full length main theme and variations of the main themes that were in the movie but not on the original release. If you like heart rending music don't hesitate to get this one!

This album is on order, I haven't had a chance to hear it yet.

While I am looking forward to the additional music, I am very glad that the score is being given its own presentation. I program out the songs when I listen to the score, which is sublime on its own. The songs work extremely well in the film, anchoring it in its era and being reflective of Lolita's age/generation. As a listening experience, however, they are intrusive and would have been better programmed at the end of the album (I feel the same way about a few Morricone albums released in this era, e.g. Bugsy). This will not be an issue with the new edition.

Vous êtes en voie de vous hisser dans la cour des grand, Messieurs de Music Box.

Edit: you can add sublime.

Had it for a week and its very good - if you like the Milan this is worth
another go. Its one of those A B C A B C D A B C type Ennio albums but the
themes are good and varied enough so those 4-5 themes don't tire or
bore. It's 77mins and I didn't get antsy through that epic running time,
which speaks volumes. Nice Hubai notes too, where is that guy on these
boards these days!??!?

Bravo MB!!

Hi! I have a little question about the first track. Is it melodic all the way without harsh and dissonant sounds?

Just bought a copy of this on ebay. Payed extra of course but not too bad. I remember having just bought quite a few CDs at the time the Music Box edition was released and decided to wait. Bad move. Looking forward to hearing the complete score.
