REALLY digging the new album "In Becoming a Ghost" by The Faceless. Groovy, spooky, technical prog/death metal with alternately clean and harsh/growling vocals. So many ideas packed into these roller coaster soundstorms. Random surprise: this crazysauce cover of Depeche Mode's "Shake the Disease" (!).
Lucky for you. Due to my tinnitus, I can never again listen to music all by itself, or read fiction intently without some sort of sound/music.
But even before that, I always listened to music while reading fiction. Which is what caused all those weird 'associations' we talked about in the other thread.
Wow, did you come into some money, a rich aunty died or something. I bought the two-disc version, listened to it...& that's the last time I went near it.

No. Bought the twofer Rented the box from the library!
Perhaps. It's certainly not up there with PET SOUNDS and the like. But it's a brilliant and inventive album nonetheless. The amount of experimentation and 'dissonance' on display here is unprecedented in Wilson's discography.
