Preview showings this Monday and Tuesday if you're in the UK. Albeit, 3D only.

Cheers mate.
The Cineworld is too far for me and we call the local Showcase the SCUMcase, for good reason wink
Oh well, I can wait til it's on the Odeon.

If you are a fan of the classic monsters like King Kong or Godzilla, there is a few interpolations of Max Steiner and Akira Ifukube's classic themes in the soundtrack, also a reference for Back to the Future

I can't wait big grin

Question about editions of this one.

On UK amazon I found 2 version:
- from Watertower/Fontana (so called "Import")
- from Decca (UMO)

Am I right that Watertower CD probably could be CDR or digipack and Decca could be pressed CD in normal package?

Or it's better to wait until release day?

Thanks

The major releases from Watertower are always regular pressed CDs. I haven't found anything on any website (Watertower, amazon, importcds, etc) that would indicate this would be a CD-R release.

As for the packaging (didipack or jewel case), I guess you'd better wait until it is released.

Curious that the Cineworld showings were exactly the same time as the European premiere at Leicester Square last night.

The Showcase screenings are tonight.

Another track has been made available for download. “The Oasis” is now available at least in the iTunes Store.

Also on Youtube:

Another good one. Love the choral bits; kinda AVATAR-ish.

I dig it, and nice little representation of the Ready Player One main theme tucked in there.

Avatar spliced with Vangelis' 1492?

Hmmmm. Didn't like the Adiemus riff opening stuff, but it improved as the cue switched styles.
Still, nice to hear new film music with a semblance of thought behind it.

If Junk[ieXL] had scored it with loud percussion and simple ideas, we'd be told by certain members that way the only score that would have worked in the film and that it got what it needed.

I love how Avatar is such a benchmark. I hear JNH's Atlantis

Yeah, it definitely reminds me of Horner more than anything else. In fact, it doesn't become recognizably Silvestri until the very last seconds. It's kinda cool.
