Happily spending the afternoon in Pareé &
after reading Mr. Fitzpatrick's always lovely reminiscence (yet again), I was moved to send a thank you, atta boy & great job to you & the team for the Tadlow recording.
Spot on, wonderful So nice, although I'm sure those snare tattoos still are rattling in those poor players noggins to this day!
So glad one of my favorite composers has such a fine advocate to keep his music alive.

I too would like to chime in and thank you for the wonderful Jarre scores from Tadlow, still hoping for Jesus of Nazareth some day!

I don't know if I've done it before, but I would like to say this is a magnificent recording.

That warms my heart to see others feel the same:-)
I hope JESUS happens too, either re-record or those original tracks are released. The bit on Universal Fr. Jarre box set sound incredible, no other release comes close.

On the bright side we have a ton of great releases that I most contentedly play OFTEN.

I would love to do JESUS IF NAZARETH....but

I have been asking ITC for years now to double check if any of the music tapes from Anvil Denham might be in storage....but they seem to have been lost !

And also for years now I have been asking Maurice's widow Fong, via orchestrator Pat Russ, for copies of Maurice's scores and/or sketches from Jesus...which I do know are in in storage....but not luck there...yet !! I could have done a new recording years ago if these had been forthcoming....

As you always say James, if I had the 'dosh', I would fund the hell out of these projects!!
If only....

I wish the estates and/or widows of composers like Barry & Jarre were as supportive as the Rozsa & Moross folks!

I wish the supportive Moross folks would help James fund the new complete recording of The War Lord he's been wanting to do... smile

Hmmm, well that's a shame then, if that's the case. It seemed to me Moross' daughter was enthusiastic about re-recording projects? I'd assumed it wasn't a cooperation hurdle in that composer's case, but a sales one....

I agree that the Tadlow release equals and at times supplants the original recording of Is Paris Burning? Great recording!
