Can anybody find the quote here at FSM MV made a few weeks ago, maybe a month ago, updating on the "Superman: The Animated Series" episodes list another user had posted weeks earlier? I can't seem to find it. I've gone through thread after thread.

Is there music in JFK not on the album?
I could swear that I read that Williams didn't have time to do a full score for JFK because of his commitment to Hook, so he recorded a sort of toolbox of thematic pieces that Stone and his editors then used in the film (which they were cutting till the last minute).
I always assumed the album was the collection of pieces Williams actually recorded, while the film contained that material cut and pasted as needed.
Is that wildly incorrect?
Here is what a Williams historian Jeff Eldrige posted from a Williams interview in the Boston Globe article by Richard Dyer :
Since Williams was busy working on HOOK at the same time, he actually wrote and recorded much of this music in advance. From a 1992 Boston Globe article by Richard Dyer:
For "JFK," Williams worked in a way that was almost unique in his experience. He wrote six musical sequences, which were recorded in full before he had seen the entire film. "After the Pops season last summer, I went down to New Orleans where Oliver Stone, the director, was still shooting the movie, and I saw about an hour's worth of cut material and some of the dailies. I thought his handling of Lee Harvey Oswald was particularly strong, and I understood some of the atmosphere of the film -- the sordid elements, the underside of New Orleans."
After Williams had scored and recorded his sequences, Stone cut the film to the music, or to the parts of the music he decided to use. This is the way the classic collaboration of Eisenstein and Prokofiev worked on "Alexander Nevsky," but only once before has Williams had a similar opportunity, when Spielberg recut the end of "Close Encounters of the Third Kind" in order to synchonize with the logic of the music. "In `JFK,' the music is cut up, in a documentary fashion; a musical sequence that may have lasted seven minutes on the recording lasts a minute or two in the film. On the CD, however, the score is presented in full, as pieces of music," Williams points out.
The musical sequences Williams wrote include a Kennedy Theme, a Conspirator's Piece, a Motorcade Sequence, Garrison's Obsession and an Arlington Sequence. Into the lyrical Kennedy theme Williams implanted an Irish lilt. Williams describes the motorcade music as "repetitious." "It spins out in a minimalistic way -- my hope was that Oliver Stone could be led into the pace of the sequence by the rhythms of the music. It is strongly kinetic music, music of interlocking rhythmic disciplines." For another sequence, Williams used Scottish drum patterns, drawing on his memory of the Black Watch at the Kennedy funeral. "And then I had big Japanese bass drums thundering along and exploding to accentuate the cuts." The meditative "Arlington" sequence is scored mostly for strings, but there is also a long soliloquy for solo horn.
Like most Americans who lived through that terrible time, Williams can remember the moment he learned of the assassination of the president. "I woke up late in the morning when someone came into my room to tell me that President Kennedy had been shot. I switched on the television to follow the reporting. It was my first recollection as an adult of weeping; I was in my 30s, and I hadn't cried in decades. This is a very resonant subject for people of my generation, and that's why I welcomed the opportunity to participate in this film."

But there are alternate takes and performances (some of the alternate arrangements were utilized when he played JFK with the Pops), plus additional music by tomandandy. Not to mention all the source music, like the great Brent Lewis tracks (only one of which ended up on the album). Curious how Williams' "Rope Bridge" cue from Temple Of Doom sounds so much like one of those Brent Lewis tracks, though I thought his Indy score came first. Who knows.

August releases on the 13th and 27th would make the most sense since LLL tend to release every other week.

Sorry for the delay. We were waiting to find out if a certain release was going to be ready for shipment, but alas, it was not meant to be released on Aug 13. And, since we don't believe in taking people's money before the product is in house (or at least imminent in its arrival) we will be releasing this "ONE" soundtrack at a later date.

Funny how that word "ONE" happens to be an anagram for "NEO", huh?

No, not flailing. August was mentioned as the release time for Reloaded and we all know it's coming. And Neo does happen to be "The One", and there's a reason "one" is all capitalized and in quotation marks there.
Flailing would be me anticipating a complete James Bond box set because "ONE" also happens to be an anagram for "EON" which stands for "Everything or Nothing" and happens to be the production company of the James Bond franchise. Fortunately, I'm not getting my hopes up for that, haha.

Reloaded really is great stuff. One of my all-time favorites. I haven't seen The Flashpoint Paradox, but I'm a fan of the DC animated music by the B:TAS crew and Christopher Drake, so I'll definitely check out the samples when it comes out.

Sounds like plenty more titles on the way that will soon end up refreshing LLL's burgeoning cut-price offerings.
I'm all for constructive criticism, but this is merely unpleasantness for it's own sake.

to mv, i think you mentioned early in the year that lala land will release some golden age scores sometime this year, especially tiomkin. will an anouncement be forthcoming soon? thanks very muich.
This Fall will at least see 1 Tiomkin (if not 2) as well as a Bernstein and perhaps others

The gist of it is that a list of SUPERMAN episodes had been floated at some point in the past -- scores that were being looked at for the upcoming release. Someone brought it up a few weeks back, leading people to believe that it was representative of the final lineup. I chimed into say that the list, assuming it came from MV, would have been made very early in the process, and should only be taken as a list of scores that MIGHT be released. Some scores on that list might not appear, and others that aren't on the list might pop up.
