Yes, sure a lot of people know each other, but Beat normally has very little to do with Sugar/CAM. It's quite simply not their territory. Only Digit and GDM do regularly work with Sugar and license the CAM scores from them. Also keep in mind that also Quartet, Kronos and Saimel probably won't be able to release those CAM scores - at least at the moment. They have licensed their Italian titles mainly from GDM and from Cinevox, but not from CAM. Therefore you have to write to Digitmovies. Which other Italian soundtracks did you ask for? If you write down the titles, I can probably tell you who owns the rights and which label could release them.

If you write down the titles, I can probably tell you who owns the rights and which label could release them. as far as I'm concerned, top of my wish-list features mostly Morricone CAM stuff early scores like "la Voglia Matta" (my n°1 wish), "La Cuccagna", and possibly "I Malamondo" (I habe the latest Japanese release - is there way for an expanded edition?), as well as later scores like Cage Aux Folles, Il Bandito Dagli Occhi Azzurri or L'Immoralità I guess it's either Hillside or Digitmovies territory? I wish for the latter because they're much more affordable. It's been ages since Digitmovies last produced a Morricone Also, some Cinevox like Fatti Di Gente Perbene or l'Assoluto Naturale --> could be coming from Quartet, Saimel or Digitmovies? I also hope for more reissues of scores previously released by RCA / Dagored but I think that GDM handles it well, so I worry less for the release of RCA stuff that I do for CAM, for instance.

Wait for next month's series. You are wrong about LA CUCCAGNA: That's no CAM title and never was. There was a 45rpm single on the RCA label in 1962 with two tracks, but the score itself is owned by Nazionalmusic so that chances for still existing tapes nowadays are not that high. Your other mentioned titles are indeed all CAM territory. So either something for GDM/Hillside or Digitmovies.

back to Piero now: just listened to CD2 of Quartet's "Quelle Strane Occasioni". Kudos to Quartet for this release, they couldn't have sequenced the tracks better IMHO. I agree morrifan, the 2nd cd really makes the soundtrack for me. I wasn't a big fan of the score before the Quartet release, but the extra material won me over. Stefan, I think you've already matched the scores on my wish list with the labels that own the rights to them: Tre Fratelli Cristo si e fermato a eboli Le Altre Swept Away-expanded How do you seem to know about Digitmovies upcoming releases? Apart from the upcoming ones announced on their website, what information do you have concerning releases beyond that, hm? Do tell! I see Claudio Fuiano around on Facebook, on the various soundtrack pages. He usually leaves supportive comments on the various releases, regardless of which label is putting them out. I've often thought of sending him a message regarding my wish list. He seems quite approachable, I might just start pestering him with a few titles...!

As to your questions, Bewlay: The rights for TRE FRATELLI and TRAVOLTI DA UN INSOLITO DESTINO (SWEPT AWAY) belong to Revelation Music which is a company very much related to GDM. So these could be titles licensed either to Quartet Records or to Saimel, but I don't think that GDM itself plans to release them on CD. So maybe an expanded version of TRAVOLTI will be one of Quartet's 2012 Piccioni titles? In my opinion it would be possible and why not? And maybe Quartet or Saimel should also take care of TRE FRATELLI. Well, Claudio Fuiano is a good friend of mine for a long time and of course you can contact him. I do not have all infos about upcoming Digit releases, but at least I can tell you that also a Peplum title will be in the next batch and that the Peplum series will continue in 2012 with some great titles. I am really not allowed to tell them here, but as a few people did worry the series may not continue on Digit, I can assure all of them that it will.
