DECEIVED (Thomas Newman) DREAM LOVER (Michael Small) ROLLOVER (Michael Small) YEAR OF THE COMET rejected score (John Barry) — surprised this hasn’t appeared somewhere...
"Complete Original Soundtrack including dialogue, music and songs"?
Hilarious! Can't you just listen to the film or perhaps actually even watch it instead of just having its audio on LP/CD/whatever?
You darn kids.
It does in 70 + minutes what Peter Jackson needed 9 hours to do. And it's more entertaining. The LP set works as a storybook - way back then, once a TV special aired, that was it, who knew when you'd have the chance to see it again? There was no residential home video. If it ever does get a CD release it needs the lovely LP booklet reprinted as well
Somebody please correct me, but I can't remember anyone asking for any of the titles released in this series so far. I'm not saying these are bad releases, and obviously not everything people ask for is affordable, but it doesn't seem like a "we hear what you suggest" thing at all. My impession is that Varese is just doing whatever they want with this so called series, as with any other thing you could think off related to them nowadays.

It isn't the "We Hear You Guys On The FSM Board" series. Labels do get requests all the time. When Varèse issued Peter Bernstein's "21 Jump Street" and several people here carped that nobody had ever asked for that, MV from La La Land jumped in to point out that they (La La Land) had actually gotten several requests for it.
