Right. TOS and TNG we have in abundance now. Im more focused on the gems from DS9/Voyager and Enterprise.

I'll second Dave Frolik "chasing the Vorta" music. If I had the time, I'd skim through D.S.9. and Voyager and cite cues, too, but alas.

I watched 'In the Flesh', episode 4, season 5, from Voyager yesterday and when Chakotay is surrounded by fake Starfleet officers I definitely heard a reprise of of the species 8472 theme that Jay Chattoway wrote for the Scorpion episodes!! So post-Ron Jones the composers DID re-use some of their theme sometimes. Could anyone explain the reason behind this? Why did the producers allow this all of a sudden? Why not? It's a distinct theme for a distinct alien lifeform. If the composers wouldn't reuse themes a part of characterisation is lost. I'm always glad watching Klingons marching off to war with Jerry Goldsmith's Fifth-Theme (unfortunately Bell and McCarthy didn't used it; especially in DS9 it would have been glorious but they had their own style). Same for the Borg: I was happy when David Bell used the style from Goldsmith's First Contact for Voyager's "Dark Frontier". Best example: James Bond - 007 fighting crooks without the Bond-Theme... unimaginable! Btw.: my wishes for the Star Trek Fan-Box: what's left from "The Way of The Warrior", "The Visitor" and "Sacrifice of Angels" (all Deep Space Nine). The turning point for Rick Berman Era Trek scores was Generations, when Dennis McCarthy did a balls to the wall film score. He then used his action material on DS9's "The Die Is Cast." After that, music got bolder and more thematic again. So while much of TNG's later music is muted, DS9, Voyager and Enterprise had much more colorful scores. Don't forget, Brian Tyler did some fantastic early work on Enterprise.

I thought there were a lot more cues and I thought they indicated such. Read Lucas’s interview. What interview? Yavar

Not exactly. I thought there were a lot more cues and I thought they indicated such. Read Lucas’s interview. Yes, what interview? I thought Lucas was pretty consistent in saying that it was only those library cues that were released on the 50th Anniversary Collection that they had different sources for on the original TOS box set.

Are there any plans for a third Voyager collection?

There are also episodes already covered that, in my view, still need more score released from. "Silent Enemy" is a good example.
