How does Disques Cinemusique's issue of La Comédie selon Jean Prodromidès sit with Prodromidès enthusiasts?

I'd go for it. As usual with Prodomidès, the cues are self-contained pieces of music, fully developed from beginning through middle and end.

As befits the subject matter, the music is very energetic and colourful, inspired somewhat (and very aptly) by Khatchaturian (for L'Ours score).

Considering the age of the recordings, they sound quite good, clear, vibrant and dynamic.

Recommended (IMHO of course)

For any interested parties, here's an album I spotted in Dusty Groove's site:

An LP from 1966 with Martial Solal and Michel Magne in a combo.

Eric Demarsan would also deserve more votes in my opinion but he certainly isn't well-known abroad.
