It may not be high on their priority list and restorations usually coincide with franchise anniversaries. And even if someone posted specific legal or contractual reasons, there isn't a damn thing any of us here can do to change the current situation.

Time, legal expenses (on both sides record label/film companies), people involved in such a (small) matter (so to speak) and so on . A company like EON is currently focusing on the pre-production of the new bond. EON is possibly not a big structure and their employees are surely focused on the new film. I may be wrong of course.

The STAR TREK experience has taught us that if you wait decades, if you wait long enough to become sure in your bones that nothing more is coming out, something might happen.
Nothing's changed as far as I know, but who knows what might be cooking in the background.
The status quo on Bond scores seems to be the age-old problem: too commercially interesting for the big labels to let go to the small labels; but not interesting enough for the big labels to do anything other than keep trotting them out as-is. Only fan labels see the value of that investment.
If someone like LLL or Intrada could persuade the owners to let them do this, we'd be in for a treat. I hope someone like that is trying.
And I'd still like the existing ones re-done as 2CD sets with the original classic album programs and then complete chronological score. Especially THUNDERBALL which still has unreleased music and had to be illogically edited to meet the stipulations of 2003.
