My nonexistent reading comprehension skills have also led me to associate Tall Guy with the "John Wick" film series, which I believe also star Keanu Reeves.

"John Wick" is surely a porn star name. I can't help but laugh every time I read that.

I agree with thomas to an extent. As well-written and amusing as tg's Dracula review is, im afraid anyone who blatantly overscores barely-above-average movies to a silly score, makes a mug of themselves! Ive warned oblicno about this as he is the worst perpetrator too. It must be a northern thing. They are easily impressed by chocolate oven gloves! wink

The one where Thor said he spilled wine on his laptop and fried it. I don't mean to laugh at someone else's tragedy, but it's just "So Thor".

Glove puppet from hell!

Chocolate oven gloves!

John Wick!

All made me laugh. Swine.

Coppola's Drac ages better than most films. The practical and in-camera effects are ace. Plus, we got the chapter about it in Richard E. Grant's excellent memoir With Nails.

All my film review marks accurately reflect the films I watch. I am always right. Always.

Yes, but as decent as it may be, its never been or will be a 9.9 out of 10 in any sane person's head. Even with monica bellucci as a vamp coming up thru the sheets.

Unless you and TG's ratings get more sensible im going have to ask the moderator to delete your reviews, so not to con people into wasting 2 hours of their precious time based on your wild scoring. wink

Before we get back on track here, I have to once again state how hilarious it was that The Wanderer rated A View to a Kill a 7/10. It's a post I honor somewhere in this very thread.

It remains the benchmark of all film rating folly, ever, and how I now judge all films, so thanks.

It would have been 10/10 if only they’d cast Jason Statham as Jonathan Harker.

Well Dogbelle, I am, as the British say, rather gob smacked! Don't know what inspired that very kind youtube, but I thank you. I was very touched. It is nice to think back about being a teacher. It is also joyous to see the learning and teaching that takes place here at FSM. Appreciate you.

(At first I thought the music was by Rozsa. Seemed like familiar Rozsa, and then I heard the main theme and remembered Moross. Lovely.)

My very good friend Monty Dave's resolute determination to keep his feet on the ground:

I am not streaming nor will I ever be in the position to initiate 'streaming'.

179) solium, followed by edzoomom's unabashed love letter to the Millennial generation. Edwzoomom's impressions from having worked with the Millennials differs from my own:

From "Was Rachel Green Bisexual?":

solium: "FRIENDS was edgy in it's time for openly discussing sexuality . I keep hearing Millennial's are the most informed, educated, involved group since the 60's. I dunno, they really seem ill-informed and lack critical thinking skills. There was no anti gay message on the show, it used humor to "normalize" it. I would love to know Millennial's reaction to Seinfeld, talk about an anti-pc television series!"

edwzoomom: "You are painting a generation with a broad brush solium. As the parent of two of these so called millennials, I can attest to their enlightenment and openness. They are bright, involved and open-minded.

Yes, I am biased of course but I am also including their friends and classmates in this picture. Over the years, I have spent countless hours with these young adults discussing endless topics. I have no doubt that the least applicable term would be ill informed or lacking the ability to analyze and evaluate information. I also work with young adults in this age group and I have the same opinion of them.

One can't evaluate these young adults by what you read online or see in the media. Spending time with them, engaging them will give you a true impression."

180) henry's selective highlighting of William Devane's career-peak performances in the "William Devane" thread.

"I have always liked him from THE BAD NEWS BEARS IN BREAKING TRAINING to KNOT'S LANDING to JESSE STONE. What about you guys?"

181) BillCarson, responding to Kev "Milquetoast" McGann in "A Meeting of Great Minds!":

Kev McGann: "Why, as fine English Gentlemen, we could not allow such a thing!
A regal U.S. Lady like yourself would only be required to grace us with your presence, m'am.
(Bill might ask you for a pint, though)" wink

BillCarson: "Sod that, what are we, Joan's bitches??!!
Ooh yes your highness, let me get you another champagne!! Let me reimburse you for your flight etc etc.

As the man in Varrick says "I got all the goodwill i need. You wanna know what i know, stick some money on the table!!" wink
