The original looks like someone colored it with crayons. Here's an alternative mimicking a painted animation cel.

Oh, that looks quite nice!!!

Thank you. smile

Using GIMP, I created custom covers for the Karate Kid 4 CD set since there were no individual covers. I also created custom covers for the FSM Superman set because that set also lacked individual covers. The links take you to images that are all 1000 x 1000.

Here are the Karate Kid covers:

P.S. I'm ashamed to admit that I don't know how to embed these images! Ah well.

Enjoy!

Does anybody still have these images? I'm a bit late to the party... wink

Wow -- I'm glad there is still interest in my covers! Here are both the Karate Kid and Superman covers as a single zip file:

I think LLL's cover for The Golden Child is beautiful work by Jim Titus, but I would be extremely grateful if anyone here is willing to make HQ versions of it with only the Barry credit, and only the Colombier credit, so that I can have the two different scores represented by different covers in iTunes.

I would like to second that request, or at least the Barry part. I love the Barry score but have no interest in Columbier's.

Anyone done any covers for The Paper Chase and Conrack?

If you have access to albumartexchange.com, I just discovered that someone uploaded hi-res versions of their own Barry-only custom cover. So it's only the Colombier I'm still needing, even though I agree with you that it's far inferior as music (aside from maybe a couple minutes of orchestral love theme).

I posted a cover for The Paper Chase much, much earlier in this thread.

Unfortunately Yavar, I am one of the undesirables not living in the US that cannot access AAX. Haven't been able to for years. Guess I'll have to make my own Barry Golden Child cover.

Oops, missed that one. Thanks so much (beautiful work, by the way).

I'm trying to fix my iTunes art and found a few titles that I would like some custom covers for:

Contract on Cherry Street - preferably with Frankie boy
The Cowboys - using poster art
Guide for the Married Man - poster art
John Goldfarb - poster art
Conrack - anything
Heat - poster art
Varese's Patton and Tora Tora Tora - separate covers using poster art or something better than the painted art used
Silva's Raise the Titanic- poster art

Anyone seen / done these?

These are a few odds and ends I've been putting together.

A slightly more intimate take on this title:

Another Lee Holdridge promo upgrade:

Another day, another Dune:

Individual covers for each disc of the Intrada Masada set:

This combines the layout and nomenclature of the promo with the color as seen on the MCA soundtrack album:

Fantastic covers as always, Josh!

Any chance you might be willing to tackle any of these:

Contract on Cherry Street - preferably with Frankie boy
The Cowboys - using poster art
Guide for the Married Man - poster art
John Goldfarb - poster art
Conrack - anything
Heat - poster art
Varese's Patton and Tora Tora Tora - separate covers using poster art or something better than the painted art used

Awesome, thanks! I can take that one off my list.

Based on the art I've seen, this must be one seriously wacky movie.

In conjunction with the first airing of COCS - ok, that's kinda funny - TV Guide contained an interview with Sinatra along with a front cover illustration by Amsel. Although it bears no relation to the subject of the movie itself, it's Amsel, so...

I used the font and its layout from the original opening credits of the show.
