Hey Bill, tell us again what you DON'T like about cricket?
don be fooled grown man star wars fanboy - i was up and it came on the news. just made me larf. england are shit. even worse than the football team. !!
Still in it? erm.. i heard on sky news thsmornin that geoff boycott said "England are f****** shite and havent got a f****** hope in hell of winning 1 test let alone threatening to compete for the series "
I'm a bit baffled as to why a decision hasn't been made by the authorities regarding Stokes. The incident happened in September. What are they doing? Is the man in charge Australian?
I've gotten into the habit of listening to radio broadcasts of other Test series overseas. You can listen to NZ's Radio Sport and the familiar tones of Bryan Waddle and Jeremy Coney (my favourite commentary team) at
NZ are 286/7 at stumps on Day One. WI captain Jason Holder was suspended for slow over rates, so Kragg Braithwaite took the reins, won the toss and inserted NZ on a surface with a green tinge. WI didn't bowl great and NZ scored 65 before they lost their first wicket and 154 before they lost their second. Gabriel and Roach then took charge as they nipped out the next five wickets for 100 runs.
England are playing a tour game in Perth featuring the fringe members of the Ashes squad. They scored 314/9 and the Cricket Australia side are 64/1 in reply.
Meanwhile Ben Duckett has been suspended by the ECB for pouring a drink over Anderson in Perth. Not sensible by Duckett but frankly over the top from the ECB who are running scared of the media. He's not punched or headbutted anyone.
The NZ tail wagged on Day Two of the Second Test, whacking ten fours and four sixes between them to take the total up to 373. NZ were 286-8 at one point but some entertaining counter attacking and poor bowling allowed Trent Boult and Tim Southee to add 61 for the last wicket.
West Indies are 215-8 in reply with all four of NZ's bowlers taking two wickets each. Work to do.
India are all out for 112 in their first ODI vs Sri Lanka. Dhoni scored 65 of them. He's still got it at 36 years old.
NZ have set WI 444 to win the Second Test, Ross Taylor scoring his 17th Test century in the second innings. He became New Zealand's highest century-maker in Tests, drawing level with his captain Kane Williamson and his mentor, the late Martin Crowe. WI are 30/2 in reply.
Ben Duckett has been suspended from the Lions tour.
Stumps on Day 1 of the Third Test between Australia and England. The venue is the WACA in Perth, a place England haven't won at since 1978.
Joe Root won the toss and chose to bat. Cook, Vince and Root were out early but Stoneman made 56 before he was controversially caught off the glove. England were 131/4 and it could have been over quickly, but then David Malan and Johnny Bairstow put on a mammoth 175 run partnership for the fifth wicket, with Malan getting his debut Test century (110 not out) with Bairstow contributing 75 of them. England finished on 305/4 and will start day two in fine fettle.
About time someone from England scored a century! Well done Malan!
An unlikely looking score from when I was watching just after tea (Oz time). 400 up before lunch, 20 quick Aussies wickets and Bob’s your uncle!
Forecast is for rain on Days 4 and 5 so England will need to wrap this up quickly. That will be tricky, because pace is getting the wickets and England don't have any pace. Surprised Wood didn't play. I suspect this match will end in a draw.
