I'm still betting the 8-disc set will be Tales From The Crypt, Justice League or Superman The Animated Series. There are definitely a few other possibilities I wouldn't mind being surprised by, however.

An 8CD set of "Gunsmoke" TV scores... Jerry Goldsmith, Bernard Herrmann, Leith Stevens, Jerome Moross, Fred Steiner, Nathan van Cleave, Leigh Harline, Morton Stevens, Allyn Ferguson, Bruce Broughton etc, etc... that'll do me.

The other suggestions (yours and other people's) for the 8-Disc sets are ones I could live without...however, a Superman TAS set would be an instant overdraft-maker.

I'm also hoping for Superman The Animated Series more than any of the suggestions I've seen. At least we know Superman will be coming at some point, if not Black Friday.

For me it would be an instant draft-excluder.
Only use I'd find for 8 CDs of that would be to wedge them under my front door this winter to help keep the draft out.
I want Korngold!!!!

Is Open Range a possibility?

It's got cows, horses and is OOP.

This was the facebook tease photo.

Plus, it is the 10th anniversary of Kamen's death next week.

I said it on facebook, I'll say it here. In my opinion, the monkey reminds me of Martin Riggs (Mel Gibson) from Lethal Weapon 3 on the police motorcycle speeding down the freeway about to slide under the truck trailer. Take that for what it's worth.

Release #1 - 8 cd set - Limited Edition of 3000 units -- $119.98

"Lethal Weapon" box set

Release #2 - 2 cd set - Limited Edition of 3000 units -- $24.98

Strange price for a 2 cd set. "Home Alone 2" was priced as that and it was basically a rerelease of Varese Club's out of print. Or look "The Untouchables" which included original cd release... I would bet this is a expanded edition with the original score and the old cd release. Don't think "The Matrix Revolutions" is coming this time. I would say something like "Sommersby" or "JFK". Or if we are lucky, "Batman and Robin" (at that price because of Goldenthal reuse of themes) or "Gremlins 2, the new batch" (disc 1 for complete score and disc 2 for Varese cd)

Release #3 - 1 cd - Limited Edition of 3000 units -- $19.98

"Police Academy" please

Release #4 - 1 cd - Limited Edition of 2000 units -- $19.98

Something from Golden Age. That Tiomkin release that should had came this year.

Keep in mind this is 90th Warner Bros celebration year. All the titles quoted in my post belong to that studio and it's likely all of them are Warner Bros releases.

I couldn't see the 8-Disc being Superman TAS mainly because Batman TAS was one CD per volume. Why would Superman suddenly get such a larger disc set when Batman TAS' music is more well known?

How far fetched would a Robin Hood Prince of Thieves or Adventures of Baron Munchausen be? Robin Hood is Warners but Munchausen is Tri Star/Columbia I believe.

Volume 2 of B:TAS was actually four discs. However, LLL has previously implied that subsequent DCAU shows' scores will not follow until they are done with B:TAS first.

Does the LW series have enough material to justify an 8 disc set? I have only the original limited edition LW score + Lethal Weapon 2 10 trk CD so if it is coming I'll snap it up

I don't think this will come now, but there was also talk of an upcoming Morris/Brooks box from LaLaLand. Is this still possible?

"A planned Morris/Brooks box set is in the works, but there might be some elements issues that need to be dealt with first before it comes out.

Nobody seems to remember Horner's HOW THE GRINCH STOLE CHRISTMAS.
A great score in urgent need of expansion.
Any guess?

Could be LW if they include the original albums , which wouldnt surprise me if WB's asked to have them included.

Wild, wild guess for the box set (and only because it would be my dream come true), but what about a box of James Horner scores for animated films?

An American Tail
The Land Before Time
An American Tail: Fievel Goes West
Once Upon A Forest
We're Back! A Dinosaur's Story
The Pagemaster
Balto

Just a wish!

Help an ignorant smuli. What is Mr. La-La Land's avatar a picture of? Apologies if it has been discussed thoroughly elsewhere.
Also, I'm just curious, I'm not complaining: what do folks think of 8CD set priced at $119.98, considering the very wonderful Medal Of Honor 8CD set was only $59.98?

I wouldn't have thought so, the 4th one didn't have an album, & La-La would have to license the songs from the original albums, & the 1st one has had an expanded release on Kaman's own label. But...the eight disc set is quite pricy & 3000 copies, & times are hard, I'll be interested to see what it is.

Haha, that sounds so dumb!
