So, since this wasn't discontinued, can Intrada disclose how many were pressed (since we know it sold out)? Curious to know if this comedy score did well.

I wouldn't really class it as a comedy score Justin. Animated film score...yes. Kids adventure film score...yes. Comedy score...nah. (Shit, I'm turning into Schiffy).

Yeah, I agree, it's just that whenever people bring that up, we're told -- regardless of that -- it's a comedy score and it wont' sell.

I think we should convince Intrada that all those unreleased David Newman comedy scores have been mislabelled. They should release his African-American relationship drama NORBIT right away and his family road trip drama TOMMY BOY. How about his scientific medical drama THE NUTTY PROFESSOR or his classic undercover crime thriller MAN OF THE HOUSE.

So, since this wasn't discontinued, can Intrada disclose how many were pressed (since we know it sold out)? Curious to know if this comedy score did well. I'm hoping it was 2000 or thereabouts. This is a figure that would encourage Intrada to look at other Disney TV scores (now that DuckTales the series has been ruled out). PonyoBellanote posted today on the Intrada forum 'I have been told the initial print of this release was the limited, low number of 1000 copies, and that it took 11 months to sell all of it'. This would be very disappointing if true. Perhaps if Roger has a moment towards the end of the year when Intrada are less busy he could give us a rough idea. DuckTales has been oft requested on this board down the years, and if so few copies of the movie score were sold, I'd be annoyed, after all those endless threads. OK it wasn't Ron Jones, but bloody hell, it was a good start! No more requests from me this month as it seems churlish given all the work that went into projects like Die Another Day. In the new year though, I will be back on the Disney campaign trail.

I like this score. But I don't love it. It doesn't trouble my David Newman favourite Top 20. But I'm glad it got released and that I bought it. Now let's get those Scooby Doo scores out there. And the Mighty Ducks.
