Much from Fox, including what will be a rather spectacular first release for 2014, more from Paramount, including what we hope will be at least four separate volumes of Victor Young scores, and a few more things from MGM/UA, and it looks like we may just have our foot in the door somewhere new and if that comes to pass then the first release from there will be one of my personal Holy Grails - we'd probably lose money on it, but with this title I just don't care. ************************************************************************ This is all such good news. Thanks for the forecast, Bruce.
When Criterion recently released THE UNINVITED on DVD, I was disappointed that they didn't include the isolated score feature as they had done with THE THIEF OF BAGDAD. But that omission had me suspect that SOMEONE ELSE had secured the rights for CD release of the score and that gave me heart. After the SHANE and STRATEGIC AIR COMMAND releases, I kind of thought that it would be a natural release for Kritzerland. Time will tell.
David Raksin's Oscar-nominated (and Oscar-worthy) score to SEPARATE TABLES was included as a "Music & Effects" track on Laser Disc. I've extracted it and, if I recall correctly, aside from some door slams and floorboard squeaks and clinking glasses/silverware and the like, it's quite listenable. One caveat if you decide to track down the Laser Disc. Avoid the FIRST PRESSING (MGM/UA ML 101759), as there was an error and the isolated score is only present on Side One. The re-pressed it and gave it a different Catalog Number (ML 107202) with M&E tracks isolated on BOTH sides. This second release is the one to get. It'll do until Bruce can finagle the score for a proper release. I felt the same way about Delerue's WOMEN IN LOVE score that was isolated on Laser Disc and was eventually released on CD by Quartet.
I own six (David and Bathsheba, Demetrius and the Gladiators, The Day The Earth Stood Still, Hangover Square/5 Fingers, Jane Eyre, and Henry King at Fox) and am very happy with all of them and hope to acquire more in the future.

I must own dozens by now. They are not filed together, so I cannot say definitively. They are filed under either Space-Age Bachelor Pad, Exotica, Crime/Spy, Space/Supernatural/Gothic/Macabre, or Now Sound.
By my quick count I have 68 Kritzerland releases (two are movies). Plus many other albums produced by Mr. Kimmel on other labels -- for example the wonderful Varese Sarabande "Once Upon a Time in China: The Best of Chinese Film Music Vol 1." I've always longed for a Volume 2!
The remixed release of Sondheim's "Follies" went on my desert island disc list when I did one on Facebook a while ago. It is an amazing CD -- just gobsmackingly good. Mr. Kimmel has been teasing two releases on his daily blog recently -- not clear yet what they might be. You just never know with Kritzerland which is part of the fun.

Yes, two releases announcing tomorrow at midnight - I figure either people will be happy then and ready to purchase or they'll be angry then and will purchase just to alleviate the anger
Both are show albums BUT one involves a most beloved and popular film composer.
Weeeeell... After Bruce said at John Barry's Facebook group that he had tape for years, packaging is done, master is done, everyone already dance a jig!
