"Fake News" is a phrase I could do without...

there are so many phrases that have come to prominence with Trump.
One i particularly hated was used during his Primary run ; newsman kept saying he was running "An asymmetrical campaign"
pheh!

My latest annyance is t.v n radio people using "off piste"

As in wandering from the subject in hand.

"if i may go a little off piste here"

"ooh, did you notice, i went a bit off piste there"

Its breakfast t.v, f*** off with yr unnecessary poncey skiing analogies.

"bitch"

People were calling each other this back in 1979 in Florida. That's almost forty years. Put it to rest.

Has anybody mentioned "disruption" yet? I've even seen it as part of some job titles on LinkedIn.

If anyone here has previously mentioned this I apologize but the one phrase I'd be happy to never again hear used (especially in the media) is 'back in the day.' Also the usage of the words interesting, amazing, great really needs to be curtailed in everyday communication.

"Taking a knee." I know it's phrased that way because "kneeling" has the opposite association (submissive, not protestation). But it sounds like an abbreviation of the old phrase "Take a knee to the groin." Just as "pleading the 5th" is short for "pleading the 5th Amendment."
Bottom line: bring back it's proper usage and "take a knee to the groin." It's good and it's good for ya!
