"Check your privilege" I want that to go immediately along with the users of it.
"At least we can have a conversation about it" and then what? Has it really become so bad that being able to discuss it is an achievement?

Not phrases but words:
"Dichotomy" "Paradigm" "Social construct" used by pretentious narcissists who've never had to do any work at all.

on this occasion, Dave, "hes my wingman" is the poncey remark. Im being blunt and cockney about it.
It gets used a lot at middleclass weddings where the groom refers to his best man on the stag do as his "wingman"

I've just realised that when people write that they "tear up" in emotional circumstances they mean tear up, not tear up as I'd thought previously.

In the 600 replies we may have had this one already.
Utterly nauseating.
And everytime they say it, they say it smugly, like its new and original.

"i could tell you - but then Id have to kill you"

just heard it again in Crossing lines. Tell you what, i can tell you that Id Like to kill the next lazy scriptwriter who phones that line in coz they cant think of anything else that passes for banter.

"..... everytime they say it, they say it smugly, like its new and original."

that's what is so heinous about so many of the phrases.
I would like to convene a court of law to prosecute every writer who uses these atrocious dialogs.
