The hero goes to talk to an important character. The important character is sitting on a chair, facing away. The hero puts his hand on the important character's shoulder. The important character is revealed to be dead, slumping forward. AND..................the door is ALWAYS open to the apartment! (I guess killers don't think its important to cover their tracks) brm

...action scenes that consist mainly of the bad guy picking up and throwing the hero around the room? Instead of actually holding onto the hero and whaling the tar out of him, they'll toss him against the opposite wall of the room, walk slowly over, pick them up...and then throw them against the other wall. Lather, rinse, repeat. Maybe it's a workaround for action movie filmmakers who want to preserve a PG-13 rating, but ever since someone pointed this out to me recently, I have been seeing it EVERYWHERE, like in the aforementioned TMNT...the Shredder picks up and throws Splinter around their sewer lair at least four or five times, instead of just skewering him with the vast array of sharp, pointy things his armor is adorned with. Either that, or it's easier to "choreograph".

THE KILLER HAS HIS VICTIM ON THE GROUND, CHOKING THE LIFE OUT OF HER..... there is ALWAYS a knife, scissors, vase, paperweight ETC. close by for the victim to reach(barely) and bash the killer in the head so she can escape d'oh! The climactic fight of the season one finale of ARROW used this cliche. An arrow, this time ; of course LAME LAZY brm Just seen again in JUSTIFIED season 5 (prison fight)
