Re. Sinistar, I LOVED that game. Until I subconsciously suspected it was an unfair contest. Unfortunately, modern retrospection has confirmed that Sinistar was one of those arcade games that was designed only to hoover your quarters, rather than to actually be skillfully played.
Warlock, my wife was just quoting Sinistar over the weekend - "Run, coward run!" That game absolutely imprinted on us. It was kind of great to be crappy at games, didn't worry so much about whether you could beat it if you, well, never could.
