This release is worth it for the booklet alone - love the graphics and presentation (as well as the new Silvestri comments).

Another way of saying haven't had a chance to listen yet - not a great accompaniment to my non-cartoony workday.

I created covers for animated short.
Posters one were nice, but why not use original cards? wink

Thank you, JB Fan, for the Roger Rabbit Cartoon CD Art! I have added them to my Playlist!

Has anybody received their copy yet? Mine arrived today and I noticed that all the discs are full of light markings as if someone had wiped them with something. Those are not scratches but the discs just look awful. Has anybody this same kind of markings?

My set I got last week was sealed but seemed kind of ... hard to explain dirty? The discs seemed fine but shockingly I havent listened to any of the discs yet.

I was taken aback by how bootleggish the cover art print job was. I always loved thag poster but the ink job on the lettering just looked like a home printer created it. intrada always has the the best printing and esp jewel cases ao ill just avoid looking at thag cover much :-)

Am I the only one around here who doesn't inspect the discs, just plays them? Ill never understand this quality check fetish some of you guys have. I own discs scratched to hell which play fine.

Fantastic set this one, of course ...loved every minute, loved the extras which are just right, not 45mins of slight phrasing changes like some of these albums have, love the shorts, love the old album is still here. Five star package, but nostalgia bias is in effect here....

Well, discs have been known to skip or not read if they're too scratched or dirty. Combine that with limited editions of rare music and you have alert consumers.

My set was fine except Disc 2 was loose. There wasn't much room for it to move around so there was no problem. I really appreciate how easy all three are to remove. That's hard to come by nowadays.

I've always loved the two Bruce Broughton scores but, among the three, my favorite now is Tummy Trouble. It's a little masterpiece of (relatively) contemporary cartoon scoring.

I can't seem to find myself a new copy of this cd. I want to get this cd, Howard The Duck and An American Tail next month along with one more cd. Any one know where I can get my hands on a copy? Tarantula Records has one for $50 plus shipping and that is a little high too.

The big question is: how badly do you want this release? It's a 3-disc set that retailed for $35. Intrada shows it as out of stock, and I wouldn't hold my breath they will get it back in stock (e.g., Rocketeer, etc.) I checked Discogs and this title has been selling for $50-60 (shipping from Switzerland (very expensive to U.S.), with the price gradually trending upwards since its initial release.

You might find it through eBay. A handful of copies have sold between $42-77 (shipped) since August of this year. Otherwise, the only other way you are going to acquire a copy for under $50 is through a trade. Just my two cents...

I managed to snag a copy at arksquare.net a few months ago, as well as finding a copy for a fellow FSMer, so there may well be a copy or two left there. Worth a try.

Three CDs?!

It’s really not that difficult to work out!

Two for the brilliant score plus the three Roger Rabbit cartoons and one for the original album release.
Great to have the film version of the end titles on there! Another stunning Intrada release.

Looking over two pages and reading all Mr. Marshall's comments, not a single one has been to comment on the score, but rather off-topic comments, one complaining about short cues, and now one -- a year later - on how many CD's it is (didn't he see that originally???). He's contributed zero to this thread in over a year.

There's commenting, and then there's commenting, if you catch my drift.

He's not breaking the super soft (marshmellow soft?) community rules and so he's welcome to continue posting his crap. Apparently for all eternity.

Or so I've been told.
