A no-brainer for me! Fantastic score! One of his best scores of the nineties for me. Quartet always delivers. And then there's 'The Orphanage'! Christmas came soon.

Must-have purchase for me!

Loved this score, sold the original CD in a time of need, found it very expensive to replace so treating myself for Christmas to the update.

Noice!

This one could sell out pretty quickly.

I was thinking the same thing. I didn't hesitate! Thanks, Quartet.

The topic title does make it look as though The Russia House is performed by the Jerry Goldsmith Quartet. I know it's got a jazzy feel to it, but not that much.

I hate to say it, but with the existent CD already being over an hour, with vicious customs and increased postage charges and unfriendly exchange rates (plus I've recently stumped up for the Varese horror box, the much-expanded Haunting AND the new Damnation Alley at a time when I really shouldn't), I'm probably going to have to let this slide. It's a pity, because it is a nice score, and at 1000 copies it probably won't be around for long, and under other circumstances I'd probably have bitten.

WTF?!

That was even faster than Papillon!

Jerry Goldsmith + only 1000 copies = not a very good idea

If Quartet don't re-release it, one of the other labels will.

Don't panic too hard, still available at your local, friendly neighborhood dealers like:
Movie music.com
Screen Archives
Intrada
Colesseum (sic)
Ark Square

Etc etc you get the idea

Personally, I'm glad the score I love so bad, that most (not all!) laughed at the thought of an expansion, has sold out. That'll learn ya!!

Well, I have to say that listening to my original album for the first time in quite a while, I'm finding the flow more enjoyable than I used to. Even with all the repetition of the four main ideas. I guess I'm more used to long programs because of all the expansions of recent decades.

Still not convinced that I've got to pick this one up from one of the other sellers before it sells out everywhere, especially based on the bonus clips on the Quartet side. Hmmmm... confused

Elite Soundtracks in the UK had this for £18.95 on ebay last night. This morning they've upped it to £24.95.

Music Box still have it for 17.95 (limited to one copy a customer).

Mine turned up today. Very happy with presentation and sound is even more polished than the earlier CD. Love the extra detail! Solid booklet and enjoyable notes that don’t go over the top with full analysis but covers all the key moments of the score and enjoyable comments from Mike Lang. The Crossing Over cue still has that little jump at the 2:50 mark that I was hoping could be fixed but obviously not and is inherent in the recording. Great stuff from all concerned though.
