I'm a big fan of Robert Folk when he is using a full orchestra. From the samples this sounds like not so full orchestra and a bit too much of an 80s style to it.

It doesn't sound like a full orchestra indeed and some of the playing isn't top notch but still it shows how talented Folk is at these type of scores, comedy is not an easy genre.

I was thinking about the sequels, maybe it would make sense to pair them together for the next releases? Like II & III together and so forth?

I have been listening to this nonstop since it arrived. The only issue I have with it is the inclusion of the final track (El Bimbo - Music by Claude Morgan). Yes, I know it plays an important part in the movies, but I do not care for it and I find myself just skipping over it. I will have to make a copy for my car that does not include it, other than that I still think this is my favorite release if the year.

Funny, I'd bet that some would consider its omission a NO SALE.

I can't imagine a Police Academy release without it. I would go as far to say that it should be on every sequel as well if they are released. Kind of continuing the silly in-joke of the movies.

Yeah, I'm sure I won't play that track buy once when I get it, but leaving it off?
Madness - people would have probably raised holy hell on this board!

When I get it, El Bimbo will become my ringtone.

Mine is in the mail! I have no interest in the "songs" from the series. But will enjoy Folk's music immensely once it arrives.

Well, my CD arrived today, and imagine my surprise and delight to find out that I'd got an autographed booklet too!

Loving this-went straight in the CD player and spun it while I doing some writing this morning.

Thanks LLL and thanks Mr Folk-great stuff!

Anyone who doesn't has a tin ear and no taste!

Classic 80's score with a truly memorable and whistle-able march-can't believe it's taken so long to be released.

Thanks LLL-even though I'm skint, I sold some minor Goldsmiths to pay for it.

Now roll on for Young Sherlock next year from Intrada for another slice of 80's goodness!

Bought this, mmm... honestly a little bitty bit boring. But now Intrada give us YSH, so long wait!
