I have over 30 of the titles listed on that site, some are legit DVDs, others were recorded off air, cable, VHS, and LD. Quality varies but if someone's looking for a placeholder or just wants to watch whenever they want I'd be willing to trade. More to the point, I saw a few titles that are on DVD. I clicked on the images there for more info but only got a larger image, so pardon me if this info is already posted there: Duel (Universal) The Moonshine War (Warner Archive) Then Came Bronson (the TV movie, not the series) (Warner Archive) Tank Battalion (Timeless -- Movies 4 You collection) Fear in the Night (Mill Creek -- Dark Crimes collection) Othello (Image) One Eyed Jacks (any number of PD releases, some in widescreen, but none satisfactory)

Duel - Although the expanded theatrical version is available on DVD, the request is for the original shorter broadcast version. The Moonshine War - It is noted on the board that it has been released. Then Came Bronson - The request is for the series, not the original TV movie. Tank Battalion - It looks like you are the first to discover this film's DVD availability. Thanks. https://www.amazon.com/Movies-You-Timeless-Military-Collection/dp/B00D9EJG4U (According to one Amazon reviewer, "both Tank Battalion and Lost Battalion are anamorphic widescreen, although the box says they are full screen presentations.") Fear In the Night - Not sure who asked for this title, but apparently they felt that the existing transfer was not "acceptable." The Mill Creek set is a collection of public domain titles. Othello - The request is not for the film itself, but for a 1978 West German documentary, "Filming Othello," that was produced on the making of the film. One-Eyed Jacks - The board notes the recent release by Criterion, which eclipses all of the PD versions.

I was in a rush and there was a lot of checking back and forth between the site and my database. Seems like a film should be deleted from the site once it becomes available. I'll have to check my copy of TANK BATTALION to see whether it's wide or flat.

Seems like a film should be deleted from the site once it becomes available. I agree, that as the list has become longer, it would make more sense to either delete the released ones, or perhaps just list the titles of released films without the graphics. (I'm not familiar with how Pinterest works, so that latter idea may not be feasible.)

Kino Lorber has announced that they will be releasing 1963's LOVE WITH THE PROPER STRANGER on DVD and Blu-ray on 19 September 2017. Thanks so much for this information on this much sought after title which has just been added to the listing. This title has also recently been posted to the CC's Pinterest Board of New Releases here: https://au.pinterest.com/TheCinemaCafe/new-releases-on-blu-ray-and-dvd/

(I'm not familiar with how Pinterest works, so that latter idea may not be feasible.) Thanks Bob for so clearly articulating how the entries work on the newly revised Pinterest Board and updating Ryan Brennan on each of the titles he so diligently mentioned. Thanks to Ryan as well for adding the information on all of those titles especially Tank Battalion, which has just now been updated on the board. Some of the entries like Fear in the Night are on the board because the legitimate DVDs that are available are terribly bad transfers (often true with Public Domain titles like this one) and are indicated as such on the listing. Unfortunately, Pinterest revised their boards not too long ago so all of the information is not visible until one clicks on the image, which is a real hassle. One feature that many may not be aware of is if you click *twice* (once and then after the image appears with all of the information, then click again) on an image that has been updated, it will take you to a page with more information on availability of that particular title. With this new change to the board and not being able to see all of the information printed, I'm not sure what to do about those titles (now quite a few) that are now available. I might try printing (Released Pending) or (Released) *before* the title so viewers can know right away which titles are available. How does that sound Bob and Ryan?

If you want to keep the released and unreleased titles together on the board, anything that helps a viewer know the status at a glance without a lot of click-throughs would be an enhancement IMO. Thanks again Bob. Okay, so we'll try out this heading before the title on those that have releases and see if that works. Please let us know, dear readers, if you spot any additional entries that require updating and remember to click once on the image to read all of the comments on a title and then again on the image to see any additional information regarding its release when noted. Here is how the board looks currently: https://au.pinterest.com/TheCinemaCafe/the-community-chest-most-wanted-by-fans-on-dvd-or-/

I think the annotations in front of the titles will be helpful. The availability of "Something For Everyone" needs to be indicated. Good catch! It's updated, (with a click-through to the Blu-ray). Thanks!

Jeanne Moreau's directorial debut, 1976's LUMIERE, has been on VHS, but has not made it to DVD or Blu-ray. The film was nominated for the Grand Prize (Best Feature) at the Chicago International Film Festival.
