Thief is great. But that's just one of many from Tadlow....

Oh yes, and I have all but a couple of them, and will pick up the rest over time. I guess it'll be a while for KoK. wink

Yes indeed! In USA dollars about $53,000 was needed and $60,105 was raised! We will have yet another brilliant Tadlow Rozsa score for 2019 to look forward to. smile

Im so exciting about upcoming "king of Kings". It will be great to listen this score on complete, unedited form in new digital sound.

Cannot wait to hear this music exactly as it was composed.

Im very surprised why filmmakers decided to drop out choruses in some tracks - we can hear them in full versions with choruses as bonus on FSM Treasury box disc 12.

Another very dissapointing is drop out organ part in "Sermon on the Mount". Organ really added unique atmosphere, and im hope on Tadlow release we will get those tracks with alll composed choruses and organ parts.

Another tracks which (for me personally) are very important is album version of "The Prayer of Our Lord" with wonderful chorus with biblical text and of course complete "Salome Dance" which is very truncated bboth in the movie and Rhino set. Rome "album" version is essential about "Salome Dance".

Im sure that James Fitzpatrick, Leigh Phillips and Frank K. DeWald perfectly decide what is the best for this upcoming "definitive" King of Kings smile

I feel pretty dumb. I thought the Rhino coupled with the Sony was the whole score. Doh!

Still, LOVING the Rhino. That was one of my happiest purchases last year.

The Rhino IS the complete score as recorded for and used in the film. (FSM included some bonus cues in their Treasury set, plus the album recording). These folks are just writing about later concert versions and such, written for various albums.

Not exactly. "Salome Dance" on Rhino is cut and truncated to fit the action - and some tracks are without the chorus.
Rozsa originaly recorded chorus for them but filmmakers decided to not used voices in those tracks.

Similiar with missing organ parts in "Sermon on the Mount" which Rozsa originally composed.

On Rhino there is score as used and edited for the movie.

On FSM Box in alternates we have some original tracks with all elements (on the Rhino they are edited film versions of them).

Im sure Frank K. DeWald can shed some light about this things.

Im very interrestig how other surprises Leigh can found on the sketches - i love previously unknown fragments in new Ben-Hur (Silent Farewell!)

That's why I said "as recorded for and used in..."

Silent Farewell is incredible and unlike anything else in the score...I hope there are King of Kings discoveries on that level!

OK, but in new recording main goal is to do this recording like new "Ben-Hur" - going back to original orchestrations and sketches of unedited version of score exactley as it was written by Rozsa (not edited by producers).

Yeah, which is great and I never said otherwise -- I was in no way advocating for the Tadlow to follow the program of the Rhino.
