From a TV series, Friends, actually:

Monica: "Okay Ben, why don't you come open some more presents, and Santa, the Armadillo, and I have a little talk in the kitchen? There's a sentence, I never thought I'd say."

And another, from TBBT:

Sheldon (to Penny): "You have broad hips and a certain corn-fed vigor. Is your womb available for rental?"
Leonard (to Penny): "Still digging the Shamey?"

Hundreds from The Big Bang Theory - just one example, though, because this is really for films...

Sheldon's looking for a place to go and live when he perceives that crime is on the increase, and is contemplating a large map of the USA.

Sheldon - "Penny, you're from Nebraska, right?"

Penny - "Born and raised"

Sheldon crosses out Nebraska.

To My Dearest Mister Neo Gordon,

Because of the wonderful photos you posted, AND especially that LAST shot of Walter Matthau (one of the greatest final images in ANY movie!), I shall grant to you my eternal forgiveness for NOT giving the title of the magnificent

THE TAKING OF PELHAM ONE TWO THREE (1974).

Thank you so much for continually beautifying my thread!

OOPS!
Somehow you got the movie poster in there before I sent this!

THE SOCIAL NETWORK (2010)

Mark Zuckerberg (Jesse Eisenberg) is being deposed by attorney Gage (David Selby).

"You sent my clients sixteen emails. In the first fifteen you didn't raise any concerns."
"Is that a question?"
"In the sixteenth email you raised concerns about the site's functionality. Were you leading them on for six weeks?"
"No."
"Then why didn't you raise any of these concerns before?"
"It's raining."
"I'm sorry?"
"It just started raining."
"Mr. Zuckerberg, do I have your full attention?"
"No."
"Do you think I deserve it?"
"What?"
"Do you think I deserve your full attention?"
"I had to swear an oath before we began this deposition and I don't want to perjure myself so I have a legal obligation to say 'no.'"
"OK. No. You don't think I deserve your attention."
"I think if your clients want to sit on my shoulders and call themselves tall, they have a right to give it a try, but there's no requirement that I enjoy sitting here listening to people lie.
You have part of my attention.
You have the minimum amount.
The rest of my attention is back at the offices of Facebook where my colleagues and I are doing things that nobody in this room, including and especially your clients are intellectually or creatively capable of doing. Did I adequately answer your condescending question?"

My favorite is from " Lethal weapon 2 " , don' t know, if it' s actually a dialog, ' cause Riggs is talking to his dog Sam,
but Sam listens carefully and is giving a pleasing whimmer.
Until today it' s one of my favorits. I caught it in my mind december 1992 and from then on, it stucked there,
' cause it gaves me the beautifullest memory of my life.
It was christmas 1992, " Lethal weapon 3 " has started few weeks ago and our cinema made a great movie- night, showing all three " Lethal weapon "- films.
It started close to midnight, ended close 6 am in the morning. A great night.
Couple of weeks ago the bitch of a friend of mine had gotten beautiful puppies.
I knew, I would get one of these sweet fellows and was on search for a good name for him.
Then this beautiful scene came, Riggs sitting side by side with his dog Sam on some rocks on the beach,
looking over the great sparkling pacific ocean by night light.

" Look around you Sam, look around.
Oneday, hey Sam, this all be yours.
Find a nice bitch, raise a couple of pupps,
yes, that' s where a man should live and be happy. "

I immediately looked at my friend, " His name will be Sam. " My friend grinned, " That' s a great name. "
Today, 8 years ago, my beloved Sam has gone to the rainbowbridge.
It still feels like yesterday and I put this dialog on for him, my best friend.

1776 (1972)

When it appears as though his efforts have been defeated, John Adams is counting the cost of his passion for American FREEDOM:

"Good God. What's happened to me? John Adams. The great John Adams. What have I come to? Law practice down the pipe. The farm mortgaged to the hilt. At a stage in life when other men prosper, I'm reduced to living in Philadelphia…... Philadelphia…"

AMERICAN BEAUTY (1999)

Ricky Fitts (Wes Bentley) shows his girlfriend Jane Burnham (Thora Birch) one of his videos, thereby sharing his heart with her. The video features an empty plastic shopping bag, tossed by the wind.

"Do you wanna see the most beautiful thing I've ever filmed?
It was one of those days, where it's a minute away from snowing, and there's this electricity in the air. You can almost hear it, right?
And this bag was just…dancing with me. Like a little kid, beggin' me to play with it…for 15 minutes!
That's the day I realized that there was this…entire life behind things…and this incredibly benevolent force…that wanted me to know that there was no reason to be afraid…ever.
Video is a poor excuse, I know. But it helps me remember…I need to remember…
Sometimes there's so much beauty in the world.
I feel like I can't take it.
And my heart is just going to cave in!"

CAT BALLOU (1965)

Two troubadours (Nat "King" Cole & Stubby Kaye) strum their duel banjos, and sing to us the introduction of this film:

"Well now friends just lend an ear,
For you're now about to hear
The Ballad of Cat Ballou;

It's a song that's newly made,
And Profesor Samuel Shade
And the Sunrise Kid are singin' it for you!

Cat Ballou! Cat Ballou! Cat Ballou!

It's a hangin' day
In Wolf City Wyomin'!
Wolf City Wyomin',
Eighteen Ninety-Four!

They're gonna drop Cat Ballou
Through the gallows floor!

She killed a man
In Wolf City Wyomin',
Wolf City Wyomin',
Killed a man, it's true!

And that is why they're a'hangin'
Hangin' Cat Ballou!

She has the smile of an angel! (Fights like the devil!)
The eyes of an angel! (Fights like the devil!)
The face of an angel! ( I say she's the devil!)
She's mean and evil through and through!

Cat Ballou! Cat Ballou!
She's mean and evil through and through!"

"...I tell you, Frank, the more it goes, the more I see every day,...the less I wouldnt swear that we aint got much to say about it. Maybe its all been figured out up front. Except for a couple of measley detours which is left to us, to make it seem like we're really calling the shots...we are just doing what was decided the day we popped into this old world. Coz, hell, look at us? Now honestly, you ever seen a more unlikely combination? ...Now who the hell would figure us throwin in together?..."

William Holden, wild rovers 1971.

more from the Cheap detective, 1978

Couple in restaurant walking past german officers at table.

Colonel Schlissel: "What a pleasant surprise, Mr. DuChard."

Paul DuChard: "So, the Black Fox and the Silver Wolf meet again, eh?"

Colonel Schlissel: "And of course, you remember the Gray Rabbit and the Blue Chipmunk?"
(2 other officers click their heels to attention)

Paul DuChard: "May I present my wife Marlene."

Colonel Schlissel: "The White Swan! Of course! It is always the most courageous of men who wins the most beautiful women, but it is only the ruthless who get to keep them."

Marlene DuChard: "And it is a thousand candles that will burn for every brave soldier that marches to the steps of the drums of liberty, so that tyranny will never trample the spirit of freedom in the hearts of men, throughout a world thrown into darkness and despair."

Colonel Schlissel "..yes, very well said...whatever it means..!"

SAVING MR. BANKS (2013)

Walt Disney (Tom Hanks) is having a difficult time persuading P. L. Travers (Emma Thompson) to bring Mary Poppins to the big screen…

"That's what we story tellers do.
We restore order with imagination.
We instill hope again, and again, and again."
