Two CD's in the mail yesterday: ON AN ISLAND - David Gilmour (replacing an older copy I had which I gave away as a Christmas gift to my father) RATTLE THAT LOCK - David Gilmour (the latest studio album) I have a couple of more CD's on the way, but it's been at least a year since the last time. Nice! Good to see that the CD isn't dead yet in Haga's household. I have On An Island, but haven't really heard Rattle That Lock yet.

Nirvana's Bleach - the remastered version, and that remastering has made a world of difference. Every song on it is catchy as all hell, and it kind of sums up my love of The Melvins (Kurt's biggest influence at the time) better than any actual Melvins album does. Yes, anyone who likes NEVERMIND or IN UTERO should eventually get this album to complete the trio of "real" Nirvana albums. The production/mixing is a bit "murky" sounding compared to the second and third "proper" studio albums, and people can be forgiven for perhaps not having seen the greatness that would later emerge from the band, but there's talent on display here. "About a Girl", "Mr. Mustache", "Negative Creep", "Blew", "School" and "Floyd the Barber" are particular standouts for me....
