Nice!

I'm so totally hung over after a wild Christmas party yesterday (I was home at 5 AM, and slept to 2 PM) that I need to take it easy today. Chilling at home with popcorn, chips, licorice, chocolate and other things that are bad for you while watching various stuff on the tv and computer.

2 Christmas parties down, 3 more to go!

I had planned a Boxing Day night out with my friends tonight (the last 2-3 who still return to our hometown during Christmas), but they're starting to back out.

Screw them! I've now delved into my glorious bag of specialty beers -- including a Chimay Blue, a Sierra Nevada IPA, a 0.75 litre Belgian Christmas beer (whose name I forget), a Great Divide Hibernation Ale, a KWAK! and others.

So whatever you're doing tonight, here's a big cheers from me!

In our neck of the woods, the beery excuses stretch out until after January 6th with the celebration of Epiphany. That's when the Three Kings (or Wise Men) try to squeeze down the chimney with their camels, in order to leave the kids even more expensive presents they'll get bored with in a day. Luckily, Santa has now been incorporated into the celebrations on December 25th, so he'll have widened the chimney enough to make more room for the kings n' the camels.

Bah, Humbug! I'm working, but am going for a few bottles of wine, beer, gin...

MERRY CHRISTMAS, A HAPPY NEW YEAR, AND... CHEERS TO ALL!

Looks like a good variety Thor. Are these some usual favorites for you, or are they beers you are trying for the first time? If so, what did you think?

I myself had two Bear Republic Racer 5s last night. http://bearrepublic.com/beer/racer-5-ipa/#.Ur2R9ha53Hg Easily among my favorite IPAs.

The only ones I hadn't tried before was the Great Divide and the Belgian Christmas beer. Both were fine. That Bear thing looks interesting. Haven't tried that.

Hope your holiday cheer is continuing, Thor! Cheers right back at ya! I'm planning on a margarita night with homemade chili and some chips -- with a bunch of Edgar Wallace German krimis (Klaus Kinski rules after a couple of margaritas).

Cheers, motherfu@#er! Had a great night taking my daughter trick-or-treating around the neighborhood and passing out candy to the hordes of costumed munchkins who paraded up to our doorstep. Now enjoying some beer and horror scores, but what else is new. Happy Halloween! big grin

Ha, ha....

I have to stop posting while I'm crazy drunk (or at the very least keep it to Maintitles.net, where they're used to it).

Wake up, people!

Today is my last Christmas party before...well, Christmas. It will probably not be as madly over-the-top as last weekend, where all kinds of weird shit happened, but should be good nonetheless.

What are your plans for the evening?

Not a party atmosphere, as a close friend of mine died last Sunday, but I am raising my glass o'vino glass high in memory of my good pal.

Sorry to hear that, Jim. I'm sure your friend would be happy knowing that you're raising your glass in memory of him.

Wise decision.
