Tiomkin for the box!

*insert SchiffyM snark here

Nuh-uh!

(Will that suffice?)

(I have now put myself in a very enviable position, in that you win if it the composer is Tiomkin, and I win if the composer is any other human besides Tiomkin. I like my odds.)

That way there is no risk of making a mistake!

Now it's very serious: Intrada, please, how many hours, minutes, seconds and milliseconds are missing for the official Waxman box release?

Any last-minute clues about the films featured in the 4CD release?

Well it seems about 98% certain that this is a Franz Waxman set spanning 25 years of his work at MGM, Warner Bros., and RKO from 1936-1960...some potential titles have been mentioned by others:

MGM (1930s) Captains Courageous
A Christmas Carol
(1940s) Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde

WB (1940s) Edge of Darkness
Mr. Skeffington
The Two Mrs. Carrolls
Objective Burma
God is My CoPilot
Night Unto Night (An amazing Tristanesque score for one of Waxman's Rebecca-like
scores frequently requested by directors/studios.
(1950s) Mr. Roberts
Miracle in the Rain
Sunrise at Campobello
The Spirit of St. Louis
The Nun's Story (Spirit of St. Louis and The Nun's Story are long scores)

Four scores for RKO: SUSPICION (1941), THE BLUE VEIL (1951), THIS IS MY LOVE (1954) and BACK FROM ETERNITY (1956).
He did also a few United Artists films in the 50s like THE INDIAN FIGHTER or I, THE JURY, but it is questionable if anything of them has been preserved.

Aside from Stefan's list of four at RKO, I think the other studio lists aren't quite complete...at least I know of The Philadelphia Story off the top of my head.

Yes, Yavar, it seems like it will be Waxman, in view of his extensive number of masterpieces from WB and MGM, plus a couple from RKO or UA, between. 1935 and 1960. The Philadelphia Story is also a major MGM score that certainly could be included on the list.

I wonder if one reason this set has been so long in-the-works is that Lukas was working on it, gathering material for an FSM release which ended up not happening when he ended the label. (Assuming this is Waxman, I think the only previous time Intrada released a Waxman score was his Paramount effort Sorry, Wrong Number.) If this set sells well I wonder if he might produce, say, a Kaper Vol. 2 or Schifrin Vol. 2 for Intrada.

Of course, the MGM list with Waxman scores above is not complete. There are more than 25 MGM films which Waxman had scored between 1936 and 1942 - among others THE DEVIL DOLL, TEST PILOT, THREE COMRADES, ADVENTURES OF HUCKLEBERRY FINN, BOOM TOWN, WOMAN OF THE YEAR etc.
And do not forget about FURY from 1936 which I had already mentioned a few days ago and of which music only material exists.

No doubt, one of the most prolific composers (considering that he lived only up to 60 years). IMDB writes:

'Waxman was responsible for all or part of 144 scores'

Time for SchiffyM do the nearest approximation of bragging that SchiffyM may be capable of!
