I offer this simply for a bit of background about Paula that many of you may be unaware of, although my personal opinion is here in the mix as well...
I believe that there are two Paula Deens. The genuine article, and the one that was created by The Food Network.
Her first Food Network program was filmed and produced entirely right in her own home kitchen. She was a warm and very lovable lady, showing us all how she likes to cook. Her pet dog would casually wander in and out of the kitchen during the program, which was not only hilarious to see, but revealed the comfortable attributes of the entire production. Even her dog felt all warm and fuzzy enough to visit the show.
When that program became a big hit, The Food Network created and molded a second Paula. She's the one with the over-the-top Southern accent, the bawdy-to-the-point-of-offensive sense of humor, and unlike the other Paula, this newer version is downright arrogant.
