I was sort of amused by the TRIBUTE TO HITCHCOCK cut, however, which is supposed to be a tribute to VERTIGO. Your sound quality and art direction, as always, are superb! You really are raising the bar on even the smallest of releases. [splutter]!!...what???!!! Are you listening to the same cd i am? Great wee score this, full of classic Pino flourishes. Some nice chase stuff..good atmospherics and a slightly sleazy toe-tapping tune as well. Been hitting Crazy People lots (hello). It's a nice package indeed, and it doesn't mention the 500 number anywhere on the CD, only that it's a limited edition. It's a brand new Donaggio score for me, having never seen the film or heard a note of the music. From the first go-through, it's a 50/50 score for me, in that half of it features what I love about Donaggio (rich, lush, thematic writing ala Herrmann and such, quirky catchy pop-like lighter scoring, plus some spooky female vocals) and also what I don't like about him (harsh, throbbing electronics, courtesy of Paolo Steffan, that sound like Brad Fiedel on a bad day). After a few more listens, I'll edit out the tracks I don't care for and create my 30 some minute play list of the good stuff.
