Good luck! As for me, I'm saving my nickels up for the unannounced (and possibly fictional) LLL Matessino/Botnick re-mastered release of the Rhino KofK OST 2-disc set... Well, one can hope!

Sure, put your nickels toward what might never be, but put your thousands toward what can be with sufficient generosity. After all, at your age what else are you going to do with it? Wine, women and song? Much too late, mate. smile

I'm really undecided. Not on the donation itself, because I will surely do one, but on the sum to be donated. Had it been something by Goldsmith (Planet of the Apes, Damnation Alley, ...) I would definitely have made an offer that would allow me to attend some sessions in Prague... It would be a dream! And among other things I have never been to Prague!

If you can afford it, don't hesitate : go in Prague ! The city is beautiful, and sessions with the COPPO, wow... that would be a great moment.

This is great to see. I'll make my donation next month, after I've been able to catch up a bit on bills. I'm nearly finished with holiday shopping, so it's not that crazy an idea, I promise!

Sorry, I am a bit confused about backing the 30 pound option. It says CD 1 ... so my question is, is this a 2 CD release like the Rhino?

If I back the 30 pound option, and if it is a 2 CD release, when will i receive CD 2? How does this work? Thank you. smile

KoK will be a 2CD set and you'll get the set "1 month in advance of Official Release Date".

This will be the first Kickstarter (of any sort) to which I will contribute!

As I expected there was an initial burst of enthusiasm and of pledges....now pledges have slowed down...let's hope they pick-up as still 47 days to go! So if you love great classic film music please support this endeavour as the whole project will cost in the region of £80,000...which is what BEN-HUR cost...so I still have to fund the extra £40,000 myself smile smile smile smile smile

I, too, am happy to support this fabulous project! Looking forward to a great new recording!

But wouldn't you know it. Now that real support is important, the Bobbsey twins have gone completely silent.

I posted the link to a film music page on Facebook. I'm not counting on a deluge of donations, but hopefully it gets you something.

I posted the Kickstarter page on the Filmtracks message board.

Has anyone tweeted the Kickstarter page to the most famous film music fan, that I know of, Seth MacFarlane?

Any members of classical music boards who could post it on some sites?

Any support from the other labels? LLL Facebook page has over 23,000 likes...

Could Martin Scorsese also be worth a shot in this regard? He did after all give significant praise to the score of EL CID once upon a time.

Just sent some money over. If everyone of us sends even a little we can really be of assistance!! I like the fact that I can put some money where my passion is and not just sit back waiting for our heroes (the label guys) to do all the work!!

I'd say we all expected that. First 10k, sleigh ride down the hill; next 30k, hard slog up the mountain. There's no doubt in my mind that this small community won't do it alone; we need to spread the news well beyond these borders and even hope that some rich guy or gal chips in a 5k or 10k here or there. Obvious, sure, but I thought I'd say it anyway. Anyone know any 'personalities' for whom 10k is chump change?

I just tweeted at Seth McFarlane, Conrad Pope, John Debney, and Chandos Records about this. I'll plan to donate closer to the close of the window.

Yes forgot about film composers on twitter, are there anymore? Brian Tyler is one that comes to mind.
