Apologies if I have missed this but does anyone know where the Mother Russia bonus track fits in to the main track list.

I was wondering the same thing and my guess is that it appears right after "The Final Battle", and before "A New Hope". Could be wrong though.

I *think* Mother Russia comes after 'Friends and Foes' but before Home. It's the cue for when Steppenwolf finally has all of the mother boxes.

The score isn't in chronological order anyway. 'Wonder Woman Rescue' would come before 'Enter Cyborg', 'Amazon Mother Box' would come before 'Story of Steppenwolf' etc.

Great thanks. Didn’t realise it was that out of order so technically I suppose it doesn’t matter where I put.
Appreciate your help though!

By any chance does anyone know the chronological film order for the Justice League soundtrack?

There was so much I enjoyed about this score. Some favorite cues/musical moments:

-“Hero’s Theme” – Dig the syncopated slow burn/build and lumbering 6/4 time signature, as well as the the stabby string counterpoint that starts at 1:07, the complete tonal shift in the middle, the twitchy string figures throughout, and those creaky electronics at the end.

-“The Amazon Mother Box” – Haven’t really heard over-the-top grandeur at this level since Elfman’s amazing Dark Shadows opener (also dig those descending string figures reminiscent of his Hulk score.)

-“Tunnel Fight” – As excellent an action set piece as Elfman has ever composed. My heart always skips a beat when Flash’s tickly time jump theme cuts through the well-balanced bombast.

-“Anti-Hero’s Theme” is a jaw dropper. This cue makes me wonder what Philip Glass would do with a Batman film.

-“Friends and Foes” – Powerful, nuanced composition and darrrrrk. Especially love that rolly flute and harp thing at 0:35, and the sinister variations of Williams’ Superman theme.

Also, the orchestral arrangements of the Wonder Woman theme, sections in “Final Battle” reminiscent of his Age of Ultron score (nice subversion of the two universes), and, more than the full quotes of his '89 Batman theme, how he twists/turns it throughout to near unrecognizable mutations.

BMI Repertoire has updated, for those who are interested.

The Justice League Theme – Logos - Elfman
Hero's Theme - Elfman
Enter Cyborg - Elfman
Wonder Woman Rescue - Elfman
Hippolyta's Arrow - 75% Elfman/25% Toprak
Story of Steppenwolf - Elfman
The Amazon Mother Box - Zanelli is credited with 17% of 'Chasing The Box', which is a part of this cue.
Cyborg Meets Diana - Elfman
Aquaman in Atlantis - Elfman
Then There Were Three - Elfman
The Tunnel Fight - Lindgren helped with 'Part 4' of this cue.
The World Needs Superman - Elfman
Spark of The Flash - Elfman
Friends and Foes - Elfman
Justice League United - Elfman
Home - Elfman
Bruce and Diana - Elfman
The Final Battle - Lindgren helped with 'Part 2' of this cue.
A New Hope - Elfman
Anti-Hero's Theme - 75% Elfman/25% Zanelli.

Outside the album:
Zanelli is credited with 25% of 'Bruce Meets Arthur' - a pretty short and nondescript cue.
Toprak is credited with 25% of 'Paradise Island' - I'd assume this is the opening of 'Amazon Mother Box'?
Toprak is credited with 25% of 'Geyser' - I've no idea about this one.

I've been putting together an edited version of Justice League, cutting out as much of Joss Whedon as possible and re-inserting the appropriate themes by HZ, Junkie XL, and Rupert Gregson-Williams. I can honestly say that the existing themes work WONDERS in the film. For example, the introduction scene of Wonder Woman stopping the terrorists is a thousand times better when the carnival-like Elfman music is removed. Elfman's music makes the entire thing seem 'wacky' and not serious at all. It gives absolutely no weight to the film (which, to be fair, is what Joss Whedon and Elfman were brought in to do... and they succeeded with flying colors). Love him or hate him, Affleck's Batman should be musically represented by what we heard in the LAST film, not what we heard back in 1989. And the same goes for Superman... Henry Cavill's Superman has a recognizable theme, and Elfman missed a huge opportunity to bring that back. JL was never intended to be a masterpiece, but here's hoping that Zack Sndyer gets a second chance to fix this colossal disaster.

    Justice League? Weight?? Of??????

The Warners hath spoken: after Flashpoint rewrites the DCverse, a franchise reboot is in the works, this time with less canon!

JL was never intended to be a masterpiece

    Oh no?

I will admit that the Elfman score did precious little for me. I also dislike the XL, Zimmer, and Gregson-Williams, so make of that what you choose. I dislike everything about these movies – Affleck is a joyless Batman, Cavill is smug when he should be humble and stiff when he should be heroic. The Flash just made me feel as awkward as he did. Steppenwolf postures in an apparent impression of villains he's seen in other movies. Everything is color-graded and green-screened into oblivion, until any life and spontaneity are pummeled out of it. And why the hell can everyone fly?

You can talk all you want about what themes these characters "should" have, but before that, I'd like them to be characters. Given the tepid reception this film received, and the shake-up at the DC film division, I would have to imagine all these issues are moot now, anyway.

The Synder Cut is coming to HBO MAX in 2021. Tom Holkenborg's score might be coming with it!

Great news!! He confirmed a while back that it was completed, and now it looks like he’ll have ample opportunity to provide updates before the film is released in 2021. Vindication!

Best to discuss it in this thread.
