I think we should let the November 17th titles be released before we start bugging MV for info on their black friday batch.

Just speculating like we've always done.

Plus most of us need to plan our budget - if there will be 4-5 titles for $19.98-29.98 it's one variant, but if there will be something more expensive? We just ask about this. Like on previous years, when MV said something like 2 titles for $19.98, 2 titles for $29.98, one title for $49.98 - this will be enough for now smile

-Edward Scissorhands was briefly listed on the D2 website. If LLL is working on it, then they must've changed their minds about not revisiting Burton/Elfman titles after the big boxset was released.

I don't know the legal logistics of the scores included in the bigbox set, but it kind of pisses me off that so few of them have been released individually. $500 is a lot of cash to drop in one sitting.

It's not just the one sitting dropping of a load of cash, it's also that some of us don't want every title in the Elfbox; there's money to be saved from seperate purchases when you eliminate titles you're going to get.

True. I already own the LLL expanded editions of Batman, Batman Returns, and Mars Attacks! and while they still differ slightly from the box versions, they are still pretty well expanded. Some of these (mostly the older titles like Pee Wee, Beetlejuice...) could really use an overhaul.

Apollo 13 would do it for me. Its Horner and therefore timely. And long overdue.

This is one I personally would love to see complete, as the score is stunning.

I get the feeling this would be more an Intrada title though (Universal/Horner).

Whomever gets this one out gets my money.

On the Horner pie-in-the-sky list, I'd add Sneakers and Braveheart too.

Back on topic:

Edward Scissorhands looks highly likely given the D2 mastering leak (panned out for other titles momentarily listed on their site), and would be really welcome personally.

It is an amazingly gorgeous score from Danny Elfman, and IMHO a good companion piece to LLLR's release of Black Beauty.

If Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves is in there, it'll be an expensive month for me.

We've been getting a musical embarrassment of riches from our specialist labels, and I cannot thank them enough for feeding our musical obsessions.

Who's Roger? Or is that a reference that I'm not getting?

I'd love to see a new DC animated title make the cut for the Black Friday line-up this year. That would be something that hasn't happened before, and I believe B:TAS vol. 3 sold quite well last year from the 2014 sales rankings LLL posted on face book earlier this year.

Roger Feigelson, one of the honchos at Intrada.

I do hope Lalaland's golden age CD will finally be available in December. There have been too many delays in bringing out that title. I hope it sells well for Lalaland. Golden age CD's are hard to come by at that fine label.

I agree Cody.

I hope by December 31st LLL will have issued CDs for everyone!

We are hoping by Dec 1

LOL

As Jason stated earlier after our Nov 17th batch is out I'll let you know the cost of the titles we plan to announce.

I think this is our 8th year doing this (started way back with Millennium Vol 1, BTAS Vol 1 and Sarah Conner Chronicles). We try to get a batch together that will have wide appeal. I think this year we achieved that. Still waiting on one last sign off. If it comes in this week we will have 6 titles on Dec 1. (It could have been 9 but I am delaying 3 releases until Jan).

2015 really turned into a hurry up and wait year for us in regards to approvals. We had such a log jam of pending projects several titles that were scheduled for this year are now coming out next. The good thing is we do not have such a back log of titles to produce that we have had in previous years. It will allow us some more time to breathe in 2016 and beyond. I don't know what our future monthly slate holds, but we may not release 4 titles a month in 2016. We may have 2 or 3 titles per month depending on what's ready and how "BIG" a project is. Two lessons in 2015 that we did learn are - most LP projects have been put on hold and soundtracks to newer films will be fewer from us in 2016! lol

Thank you MV for your answer, and for all those behind-the-curtain explanations.

Thanks MV. Crikey, potentially six titles.

Well fingers crossed you can do at least GODS OF EGYPT and BEN HUR in 2016. Unless both has been already spoken for...

Although "someone" still needs to do TRUE STORY and perhaps even THE NIGHT BEFORE. Unless it will be announced soon... not to mention there is a ton of "older" unreleased scores that deserves attention - especially xXx 2, CURSED, REPO MEN, etc...

I imagine the majority of us here will be fine with what results. Thanks for the update, MV!

How about THE GOOD SON by Elmer Bernstein? I missed this album when it came out on the defunct Fox label. This one should be up LLL's alley.
