Well, sell-outs certainly don't seem tied to musical quality! Thanks for doing those two anyway. And A Certain Smile, of course. I'm sure you must have mixed feelingson being congratulated for albums which were financial failures but I figure it's better than not even getting any kudos for having the guts to put them out and doing a great job of it to boot!
Yavar

About A Certain Smile. There's 24 tracks and only 3 samples. And one of those is a song. I'm unfamiliar with the score and that isn't enough to persuade me purchase- even at $10 dollars plus shipping. Point being maybe more samples would help those on the fence hit the purchase button.

I just looked and there are six tracks available to sample. Try scrolling down.

Yes MV, please find room for more golden age releases down the road. Surely, there must be some Warner Brothers or Paramount titles that haven't seen the light of day yet.

What Cody said! smile

Just finished inventory and have some LOW QUANTITY titles to report to you.

Once these titles are gone they are sold out for good, so grab 'em while you can.

You have been warned:

THE HOWLING – LESS THAN 75
NIGHT OF THE CREEPS – LESS THAN 100
WARNING SHOT – LESS THAN 175
HUMAN TARGET – LESS THAN 150
THE BLOB – LESS THAN 100
TRADING PLACES – LESS THAN 100
FAT MAN AND LITTLE BOY – LESS THAN 75
TORA TORA TORA – LESS THAN 100
GUNFIGHT AT THE OK CORRAL - LESS THAN 150
MOMMIE DEAREST - LESS THAN 20 (YES, TWENTY)
USED CARS - LESS THAN 50

You can find all these titles and more at

www.lalalandrecords.com

It's good to see the golden age western Gunfight at the OK Corral getting near sold out. It was issued at 2,000 copies. The right golden age CDs will sell out. This is a great Tiomkin western score and the big and colorful 24 page booklet has a lot to read. I saw the film when it came out (!) and it's wonderful to finally have this classic Tiomkin score. Well done MV! smile

Tiomkin is a fav of ours. I just wish as many people would have picked up Wild is the Wind as they did Gunfight! lol

Like all of the Tiomkin scores released by La La Land, Wild is the Wind too is a fantastic score, I would highly recommend this! I very much hope we see more Tiomkin in the coming year.

Glad to see Trading Places was doing well...
Hopefully there is still chance for FUNNY FARM as well? wink

Unless it's the same case as Mommie Dearest.

MV,

Are we still likely to see the Golden Age score in your February releases?

We already know about two Jackman albums coming on February 10 or is something else coming along with it as well (I suppose McCreary's OUTLANDER is unlikely, right?). Can't wait to see the list of February releases.

With so much love for Jackman, how about some Marco love? ;-)

TRUE STORY / THE DROP could make a great combo and both are distributed by Fox Searchlight. As subdivision of Fox, is it actually approachable regarding possible score releases?

Assuming Varese IS doing Seventh Son and The Coup. If not, Seventh son is of course priority nr. 1. Marco's first entrance into Cutthroat Island/Lair territory just mustn't remain unreleased.

It's great that there was another run of 1941 for those who didn't get it the first time, given the aftermarket price! Stuff like that is a real service to film score fans everywhere smile

If 1941 was meant to come out in the Fall, then it looks like it's not the Williams title that was planned for Black Friday. So it looks like there's more Williams to come after 1941?

I do recall in an earlier thread MV stating that they were planning a Golden Age title for the February releases, alas it seems that this is not to be. Oh well, maybe in March!

Hope you are right. I was hoping for an expanded A.I. To be the promised Wiliams title that was pushed back. Strange that 1941 would need approval for a straight re-issue. Not that I understand anything about the legalities of these releases.

I demand that the reissue is minus one cue since I purchased the original limited edition release! big grin
