Right now 4 titles are vying for that spot. Two...possibly three will make it.

Will the Alfred Newman make it ?

Could the partnership with Sony (and Warner) lead to a two disk set of two iconic mid-1950s Rosenman scores? Similarly, how about a 2 CD deluxe set of an iconic Tiomkin score produced with Capitol and Warner?

Grab Wonder Woman while you can! Marvelous, thrilling superhero score from Christopher Drake. I picked this one up awhile back on the strength of the samples alone and it does not disappoint. It still gets heavy rotation from me.

That must be the golden age score that MV said was definitely coming in September... although whether it will arrive this month is obviously now in doubt. Maybe it will still make Sept 23rd!

I wish MV would make a comment.

He's probably busy producing soundtracks. And I'm sure he'd like to leave some mystery before the announcement. Can't you guys wait patiently?

Any news round up on the next batch?

From what I can see posted on FB the following are imminent:

1) TRANSFORMER: AGE OF EXTINCTION
2) BATMAN THE ANIMATED SERIES VOL 3

any dates for the announcements?

As far as I can tell La-La Land has 5 batches left this year - 4 normal release weeks and then their Black Friday batch to end the year. So I think it should go like this:

Tuesday Oct 07 (announced Tuesday Sep 30)
Tuesday Oct 21 (announced Tuesday Oct 14)
Tuesday Nov 04 (announced Tuesday Oct 28)
Tuesday Nov 18 (announced Tuesday Nov 11)
Tuesday Dec 2 (announced Friday Nov 28 [BLACK FRIDAY])

**This is all just my own speculation, I have no inside info on their release schedule**

As for what titles could make up those batches, I think we know about:

Transformers 4 by Steve Jablonsky - Announced on Facebook by Jablonsky as an October 7th title right here: https://www.facebook.com/SteveJablonskyOfficial/posts/602820296506780

Batman The Animated Series volume 3 by Shirley Walker & Various - Announced at Cordoba by Dan Goldwasser as a Fall release, Dynamic Music Partners posted a picture of the booklets being signed here: https://www.facebook.com/158426480840778/photos/a.195005220516237.55519.158426480840778/952678348082250/?type=1

Giant by Dimitri Tiomkin - Yesterday, MV hinted this was coming right here: http://filmscoremonthly.com/board/posts.cfm?threadID=14254&forumID=1&archive=1

An Alfred Newman title - MV posted "We got a Newman that I like coming up in September." on August 15th here: http://filmscoremonthly.com/board/posts.cfm?threadID=104997&forumID=1&archive=0

Ladyhawke by Andrew Powell - announced late 2013, but then continually delayed. Should be coming soon?

Jessebelle by Anton Sanko - The film opens November 7th, so it's likely a November 4th title; It's been on Amazon since July because the film was originally scheduled to open August 29th: http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00KYJHNIE

Star Trek Enterprise - Announced at Cordoba by Dan Goldwasser as a Fall release. I'm guessing Black Friday title?

Am I missing anything that could come out in 2014? (I know stuff like Star Trek Enterprise, their next John Williams title, etc could come out next year)

Somebody posted a picture of piles of signed booklets for B:TAS Vol 3 on Twitter, so I'm assuming that one will be coming sooner rather than later.

EDIT - it's @filmsonwax if you're interested in seeing

Yes and Steve Jablonski also posted some pics of his booklet signings and the artwork for LLL was posted on another thread on this board.

I linked eventually, but due to Twitter blockage on my work computer, I had to find the Tweet on my phone app, e-mail it to myself. and then copy/paste it on the PC. It's a process wink

Am I missing anything?

Yes. I try, though I'm not always successful, to keep a working list of upcoming things here:

It's not a rumour - MV said 'We got a Newman that I like coming up in September' in the thread for Wild is the Wind and Thunderbirds Are Go/Thunderbird 6. Here's the link to the thread: http://filmscoremonthly.com/board/posts.cfm?forumID=1&pageID=3&threadID=104997&archive=0

I can't make heads or tails of that messy block of information there, and nothing there has it's source cited anyway so it's all meaningless.

Then skip it, but I sourced it all from MV's posts.
