Dear MV,

how does "Tora Tora Tora" sound compared to the old FSM CD? Should I upgrade?

Greetings

Michael :-)

Thats like going to a car lot and asking the salesman, "should I buy a car?"

The short main title for Die Hard says mono? Is that a mistake? Also a few bonus cues are listed as mono too?

MV what is the story there?

Thanks.

Also, for those of you who simply cannot wait to listen to the cd, I will ruin the surpirse for everyone here and declare Yes, the "Roy Rogers" cue is on the cd as a hidden track at the end of Disc 2.

AWESOME!!!! smile

Just about the same...only minor digital tweaks were made by Matessino.

However, Titus' artwork blows away the original release!

Probably there were no stereo elements available for these cues at all. It happens.

Yep. One day for Die Hard.

And a new opportunity to price inflate as it was done after the first go around and both times with Predator. I understand about the whole free market bull (which is close to collapse anyway), but it's digesting IMO.

That being said I can't wait to buy a copy and keep the old Varese version as a souvenir.

Varese had a better cover.

Then may I suggest you write either Michael V. Gerhard or Matt Verboys (or both) directly and express your displeasure to both them.

As I recall you are listed as one of their FACEBOOK "Friends" and you can send them a note explaining to them in great detail what you feel they are doing wrong with their releases and their choice of personal and how you can help them do it better then they have been.

I'm sure they would read such a letter with great interest.

Sincerely,

Ford A. Thaxton

Well I'm not sure if the original poster did everything as described above, but still it worked out it seems! smile
Thanks MV for giving this release the special "Jim Titus" treatment!

BTW this is no way meant as disrespectful to all the other artists, they're all doing a fantastic job!
In fact it is quite often a great pleasure of mine to just look at all my CDs and marvel at the art or I take out some of these wonderful booklets and enjoy reading them! So thanks all of you for your hard work! smile
