Its still says opens at Noon, how did you guys get in? I just kept re-freshing the page and at 2:55pm (EST) it came on. The MP3 examples sound amazing. The spacializing in the orchestra is dynomite!

In anticipation of the new “Eraser” release, I revisited the film. I liked it back then for what it was, and still do. James Caan makes a great cynically irresponsible villain. Vanessa Williams delivers a capable, drop-dead gorgeous but believable damsel in distress. Schwarzenegger is – Schwarzenegger. The script is decent, the cinematography attractive, the action sequences solid; the animations for those hi-tech guns still look kind of cool. The only thing that I found and find hard to stomach is that exhilarated Lynch-murder finale, which is totally unnecessary. Or is it particularly clever, suggesting that one shouldn’t trust the concept of a lone-wolf governmental agent? Anyway, I very much look forward to this soundtrack release, which features some very good and effective music and a testament to a certain era of filmmaking.

Siskel & Ebert famously took ERASER apart. I think it was Ebert who could not wrap his head around a gun that fired clay discs AT THE SPEED OF LIGHT.
