This is from a poll taken in the U.K. I get why a lot of these people were picked, but Cumberbatch as sexiest man? That confuses me. I think he is an excellent actor and a very unique looking man, but for some reason, at this point in my life, I don’t find him really sexy compared to the others guys. Different strokes, I guess. He stated he was pretty surprised too. This is just a fun, silly list.

I don't want to go off-topic, but I don't find many of the women on the list to be particularly head-turning. Not meant as an insult, just that I wouldn't stare, or look twice at them, if I saw them on the street --- other than their being celebrities, that is. I have odd tastes, I know....

Of course, I'd imagine it's difficult to submit to such a poll in the first place. If someone asked my for my 10 sexiest people alive, I'd immediately reinterpret that as 10 sexiest people I can imagine, at least 8 or 9 of whom would be actual acquaintances rather than celebrities. If I had to rank 10 sexiest actors or actresses, unless I put more time into it than I care to, it'd probably be a pretty useless list!
The list which is all over the Internet is from an Empire on line poll, and it sounded like Empire was a U.K. magazine. Maybe it is like our People Magazine. I'm not sure.
I was surprised about Emma Watson. She seems very cute, very darling in looks, but I never thought of her as sexy.
I agree with you posters so far. Some of the choices seem strange, but I guess it is all in the "eye of the beholder."

PhilSon, we must get you to some movies. (Or some DVDs.) Cumberbatch, Fassbender and Hemsworth are all good actors. If I picked sexiest man, I'd pick Hemsworth after seeing him in Thor, Snow White and the Huntsman, and Rush. I think Fassbender may be our next Burton or Olivier. You might rent Jane Eyre where he plays a great Rochester. I'm old but I still try to see some good movies. At least try some DVDs.
